PC WWMI Reimport 1.0

A Mod for Wuthering Waves
WWMI Reimport
This addon should be installed through the usual legacy addons view in Blender. You will see a new option in the import menu for WWMI Reimport. Select your mod.ini file and it will rebuild the mesh. There may be some issues with customized inis advanced toggles or morphs but generally expect nearly 1:1 results from this. Its really silly not to have the option available in the main plugin and for authors its very convenient. It doesn't apply textures unfortunately but I technically have the ability to do that. Its just that I can't see any logical pattern to the texture naming that fits all cases and I'm not going to the trouble of manually figuring them all out.

This was actually meant to be part of a larger set of scripts including one that helps map fmodel exported meshes and wwmi dumps to automate texturing with the real textures and rigging with the real bones. The idea was to provide an easy toolkit to convert WWMI meshes to work with pak mods. Pak mod bypasses are not exceedingly difficult and with a dedicated community we could easily get those going but its not worth it to do every update when most people would not be willing to change over (even though for creators its easier). If you want to rig models reversed with this I suggest you first get the fmodel exported mesh and the default wwmi dumped mesh and use one of many weight transfer scripts to first rig the WWMI dump and then do another weight paint transfer to this

The AGMG guys have scripts for this, they're not exactly difficult to make since it just requires reading the exporter script to understand how the data is packed. But its really just weird and bad for everyone to have those scripts gatekept. Yeah you can use this on anyone's mod. If you make changes to their mod you'll still have to follow rules for posting it. Personal edits are completely fine and no one can tell you otherwise. Distributing someone else's work without permission is not fine. But most people are not down to give out a Blend file even if they're okay with you working on their model

People may get upset about this being released but at this point MMT has been easy enough to find and really anyone who wanted this badly enough could have done it on their own or found it. I think its been more than long enough by now. I'm not going to have any kind of arms race with WWMI if they change the export format but there's no actual way to do so with python scripts that couldn't be adapted to. This doesn't work with GIMI, SRMI, ZZMI or anything else but could be adapted to it easily enough if you chose to. Compared to MMT or whatever its called by now this is more straightforward and doesnt require converting to an intermediate format. This has no export features though, so you need to use it with WWMI if you're going to make mods.

Personally I am moving on from WWMI entirely after making many mods just for myself. I've been working on and off again on VR support for about a year which has been annoying with the live service game but has seen some good progress. Unfortunately with newer updates to the game the two mods are less compatible and more crash prone than ever. So I'm moving on from this and wanted to at least share what I had that's polished and well tested. I won't post it on gamebanana because they will surely ban me. Maybe they will anyway.

Inevitably people will use this without permission from authors so if you do that please at the very least don't sell the mods, and if you make sfw stuff into NSFW, keep it on those sites out of the way. Generally just be decent people and this is nothing to worry about
