Im on Jailbreak 5.05, if i buy a physical disk,can i run it?
I mean,does the disk asks to update to latest firmware or can i just play normally even if im on 5.05?

Yes you can play the physical ps4 games discs on a hacked 5.05 ps4 console but only the ones which requires 5.05 or lower firmware, games which requires firmware above from 5.05 cannot be played.So if you want to run home-brews and backups aka fpkgs don't update your console above 5.05 or you will lose the exploit (ability to run home-brews and game backups). Follow up question: I know you can block online updates but can you block disc based updates?

ie: If I put Spiderman disc into my 5.05 PS4, can I protect myself from updating to 5.50 or later?

yeah dont put a 5.05> game in your 5.05< ps4
