HELLSLIDERS expands Helldivers 2’s existing sliding with adjustable settings and presets ranging from a longer slide to a deeply questionable relationship with the ground. It’s made for silliness, fun and seeing what happens when you give a Helldiver more momentum than good judgement.
Explanations have been included by Chatgpt for the settings along the way, if anything, turn a preset on and feel it out, play around!
This is a sliding experience expansion, not a full movement conversion. You’re still working with the game’s existing movement, collisions and interruptions. A preset called Tribes will not magically install an entirely different game’s physics. It will, however, encourage some ambitious downhill decisions.
Fully integrated And Designed with Mod Options Menu & Shared Loader (v18) by CowBoyBingus. Adjust slide duration, terrain-specific speeds, stamina cost and automatic slope behaviour directly in-game. The categories include explanations, your settings are saved, and you can choose a preset or build your own particular flavour of nonsense. Fresh installs start with a +75% slide-duration boost.
Try Enhanced for a modest boost, Matrix for a longer cinematic slide, or Tribes when the hill looks faster than walking. There are more presets in the menu, and you can tweak them into a Custom setup.
For those who consider a warning checkbox an invitation, De-restricted mode unlocks values up to 1000% on applicable controls and experimental presets including Event Horizon, Soap Dimension and Physics Has Left. You have to enable it yourself. The mod will not make that decision for you.
Testing status: partially tested along the way. Good enough.
Use at your own risk. Extreme values can cause unwanted sliding, strange movement, loss of normal control, crashes and other unintended stupid crap. Slope settings can also affect you when you aren’t deliberately trying to slide. Sometimes the hill has plans for you.
If you’ve had enough, return to Vanilla, turn off the slope adjustments or disable the mod using its master switch.
