This mod upgrades the M90A Shotgun’s armor penetration from Light to Medium, with the goal of making it both a little more faithful to its Halo counterpart and a more practical weapon in Helldivers 2’s current ecosystem.
In Halo, the M90A is depicted as firing massive 8-gauge shotgun shells, so giving it only Light Penetration felt a little underwhelming for a weapon with that kind of reputation. Medium Penetration helps sell the idea that this is an exceptionally powerful combat shotgun while also giving it a more useful niche against armored enemies.
Much like our VG-70 penetration tweak, this mod was built using “Produced by the Ministry of Defence – Bolt Pistol Rounds for the JAR-5 Dominator” as a base/reference, with the relevant values adapted for the M90A.
