I present to you, the MBT 53-Castle (reworked)

This MBT replaces the normal TD Bastion

I heard your feedback, and reworked the modell as good as I can (and fix some broken stuff, like the turret randomly dissapiring for some reason?)

As you can see in the screenshots, if comes with the base tank, an option for slow ammo regeneration and/or 40% more ammo if you need it (no it never had HP regeneration, and i probably wont implement it)

Only use it in privat lobbys and every player needs the mod installed for it to work properly

If you are using "Armored Overhaul" dissable the following options for the castle to work properly:
- Tank MBT turrets
- Tank Turret Traverse
- Tank Turret Elevation
- Tank Turret Aim Range
- Tank Gunner Camera

I actually like this. I personally would like to see a WW2 style tank with both modern and futuristic addons.

I'm coming from the mindset of Fury (The tank movie) where the crew all have a role but in this case, all can have some sort of weapon and the commander is the one who calls stratagems or uses their primary/secondary/support above hatch.

Driver should have smoke canister control and a front mounted MG or laser guided missles.

Gunner should have primary cannon and secondary MG

Commander should have hatch control to throw stratagems and shoot above to clear small threats

Passenger should have top mounted MG like stalwart or HMG to be able to clear swarms off flanks and rear.

Is it balanced? No

would it be fun? Yes

Thats how you get all 4 players to crew a vehicle and not be spectators IMO.

Alright, I watched the original model from afar and though it looked like something from Roblox ( no offense, really ) ... But this new model looks far more detailed and, for a lack of better words, practical ! A very clear progression was made here, so well done with the tools at disposal.

I'm gonna ask this, since from what I understand you created it by yourself with the help of AI : would you be interested to work on this asset with the help of the "Helldiver Archive", on Discord ? I'm sure that if you detail the concept of the tank and demonstrate what was accomplished so far by yourself, there is a couple of people that could give a hand to improve the original concept : like texture-work, FX, or polish certain aspects /pieces that still feels a bit off places here n' there.

I don't doubt there is other people around here that could give a hand, but the Archive seems to me the most reliable place in term of deciphering assets from the game files, and assembling custom ones.

Two other questions before I give this one a run in solo :
> Is it compatible with the "Armored Overhaul" ?
> Is it its own stratagem, or does it replace the Bastion/Maelstrom ?

It replaces the Bastion, i couldnt get it to work via beeing its own stratagem without gameguard crashing my game, and i definetly would be interested in getting other ppl in on this project as i am not nearly done with what i wantet to create originally with that tank, but i myselfe am near my limit with knowledge about modding

As i said above in the description, i don't really know if its compatible with armored overhaul, or even the solo drivable tank mod

Used it together with the Armored Overhaul 3.2.0 mod, and there weren’t any major issues. But the gunner’s MG doesn’t fire in the direction of the main gun.

it works with armored overhaul as long as it has higher priority, but yes the machine gun is fixed forwards for some reason

hopefully you can remodel the maelstrom too

Its definitly not bad and better than it looked! My only recommendation would be improving the textures. Right now it looks like a plastic model. I'd say make it have some texture to it. Metal, scratches, just depth to it.

IM personaly running into 2 issues, the ammo regen doesnt work, and for some reason the turit doesnt fire where the gunner is aiming only straight ahead. as if the turit is locked in place, the main cannon how ever works fine.

Are you using armored overhaul?
