External Storage does not work anymore PS4 wants me to update in order for external work.

I need some help here please Im on 9.00 My JB PS4 wont read my external hard drive storage anymore. I keep getting the pop up "if you want to use this external you need to update system software" Has anyone experienced this or knows a work around? I frequently get the pop up message to update randomly.

You have to load the GoldHEN and then launch the Itemzflow Game Manager. When you finish both, then go back to settings > storage to check your External HDD, and it will be fixed to bypass the check the firmware update
