Armor Workbench Offline Editor [English/Chinese] 0.15.6

A Mod for Helldivers 2
Armor Workbench Offline Editor [English/Chinese] akl_mod_preview_image
Armor Workbench 0.15.6

Choose an armor, change its armor rating, add or swap passives, and adjust their values. For example, an armor with Peak Physique can also have Scout, Siege-Ready, Feet First and many others. Use one passive or build a combination.

You can edit individual armors or select multiple armors to apply a build in bulk. Base armor class controls movement and stamina, while Total armor lets you choose your protection separately.

This program should automatically find your Helldivers 2 Steam installation. If it doesn’t, select your game folder through Settings. Close HD2, make your changes, then click Install changes before launching the game. You can close Workbench afterward. This is a file editor, not a live in-game editor.

Some armors share passive data. Editing those effects can also affect other armors that use them. Workbench shows the affected armors. Fully independent passive values are still being researched.

Use Restore backup to undo an installation. To return armor builds to their original settings, use Reset this armor or Reset all armors, then follow the instructions to install the reset. The Default Passives List tab shows each armor’s original passive.

English and Simplified Chinese are available under Settings → Language → 简体中文. Chinese translations use translation tools, so it may not be 100% accurate.

Updating: Saved builds and restore backups now use a persistent data folder. You no longer need to copy ArmorWorkbenchData with every update. If older data isn’t detected, use Settings → Import saved data and select your previous ArmorWorkbenchData folder. Keep your old folder until you’ve confirmed the import worked.

This newest update includes a VERY EXPERIMENTAL Linux branch for those players to try. I can't confirm its reliability so please inform me of any bugs or issues. Windows version is unaffected and separate from the Linux version.

This was vibecoded to get something out of nothing after the recent HD2 update. It’s an experimental public beta, so please share any bugs or issues you find. Thank you and enjoy!

So what's stopping me from just using shodans editor compared to this? Not being sarcastic or rude its a genuine question. Because I know with shodan if you stack too many passives onto an armor and then try equipping it, it will just crash the game. With shodan you have to have the armor already equipped and then edit the armor passives to not crash the game. Does this fix that issue or is it an alternative to using shodan?

Not a problem, you’re more than welcome to use whatever suits you best! For this, I’ve tested it with 22 passives and haven’t crashed. The other thing was to simplify the passive editing system. I’m not sure how Shodan handles the passive armor editing side of things as I used it for just weapon and Strat editing. Basically choose whatever armor you want to look like, and build it how ever you want with whatever passives you want with whatever values you want.

Is this compatible with the offline version of SHODAN stat editor? Another mod I use that edits the stats of things conflicts with it, I cant tell if it would do the same with this.

Gotcha. I think I'll stick to using this mod for the better armor changes since shodans' crashing does get annoying when I accidentally press the armor tab and crash my game. Cheers!

Several people in Shodan Stat Editor's comment section are also mentioning virus issues with the mod so I'd be wary of that as well.

Very nice, can you make it possible so I can apply the passive stack to every armor simultaneously as Super Earth Armory Forge did without me having to do it manually one by one for each armor set? Also, how will this interact with Shodans do you know?
