Because it emits a tremendous amount of heat, nobody else can handle it. Megu enjoyed the unique nickname, originally coined by others, so it stuck.
Notes:
1. Left hand handling of the weapon is the default. I didn't edit it because there's nothing to hold onto the weapon itself.
2. If you're using a mod that changes the first-person view handling of M-1000 Maxigun, depending on which order you place your mods, one will affect the other. Because those two weapons share the same first-person handling animations.
Installation: extract in your helldivers 2 data folder (rename patch_0 to patch_1 and so on if you have existing files with the same name) or use mod manager.
