I think author made it intentional for only stim pistol's barrel length to self heal, unless you wanted funny aspect for the GTA easy way out gameplay lol. The mod was probably an attempt to balance self heal stim pistol mod to stand still in emote and have the projectile consumed only to your body, where as other mod you heal no matter if moving and still heal another helldiver as projectile flies freely.

I understand that this was possibly the intent, I was still very dissapointed to see it does not work with pistols or any other weapon.
My first thought when I saw this mod was literaly: "Hm, what if I just go up to another Helldiver and shoot myself in the head with the Senator right infront of him" xD
EDIT: I even have to correct myself, I just tried it with the stim pistol aswell and its the same thing, projectile just goes through the head and does not apply the stim effect to yourself. Therefor actually 0/10

Aye, I've just tried ingame and stim pistol's projectile still flies through body without healing D: I disabled the other stim healing mod to see if it truly worked. some realigning must be done mayhaps..
Combine this animation with my mod and it would pretty much be my ideal version of self-healing. You’d still have to accept the risk of the animation wind-up before the heal goes off.
