This mod is a simple balance tweak for the VG-70 Variable, increasing its armor penetration from Light to Medium to make the weapon more viable in the current Helldivers 2 meta. The goal was not to completely redesign the weapon, but to give it a more practical role against tougher armored targets while still keeping the gun’s overall feel and identity intact.
I used “Produced by the Ministry of Defence – Bolt Pistol Rounds for the JAR-5 Dominator” as the base/reference for this mod and simply adjusted the relevant penetration values for the VG-70 Variable:
