The way this mod is implemented is by automatically pressing R and automatically releasing the left mouse button. If you're playing with a controller, it may not be able to interrupt the firing action. I'll try to update this mod, but it will take some time.

此mod的实现方式是自动按下R和自动松开鼠标左键，如果是用手柄进行游玩的话可能无法打断开火动作，我试着更新下这个mod，需要一些时间

I was literally thinking about that mod while i was playing with new AR-11 (it has really long animation if you reload without bullets)

I tested it and it works.. in half.
So basically when you MANUALLY STOP firing and left 1 bullet in your mag, you will automatically reload.
It does not stop you from firing when you hit 1 bullet left (you keep firing).
You could easily hit zero in your mag just like without mod.
I think this mod needs some improvements

Im literally playing with him right now and this mod works nice with this grenade launcher.
Because of slow fire rate and Semi-automatic fire, it has time to think and reload with 1 grenade left in mag.
You should read the start message when joining Helldivers 2 about "ALT+TAB causing crashes, so don't switch tabs". bruh.
Also I'm playing with 60+ mods installed and my game never crashed because i'm watching the mods conflicts in Arsenal.
(Maybe because of these your game crashed)

thats kinda pointless then. i thought it stopped firing at 1 bullet. it does however slightly improve single shot weapons like the eruptor and ultimatum
