Jurgen Get the Melta!! 2026-10-04

A Mod for Helldivers 2
Jurgen Get the Melta!! akl_mod_preview_image
Changes under 1.6 version:

  • Normal Damage: 2600 → 3600
  • Durable Damage: 2600 → 3600
  • Range: 15m → 20m
  • Demoforce: 30 → 40
  • Ergo: 10→ 40

  • In version 1.6, the maximum range has been increased to 30 meters as 40K Lore. However, the damage at maximum range is relatively very low, and it gradually increases as you get closer to the target, reaching a maximum of 5400/5400 at close range.

Please refer to the damage table for detailed damage values at each distance.

At 15 meters, the damage is also very similar to the vanilla damage of 2600/2600.

  • Meltagun Enhanced v1.6 — 30m Damage Falloff

Enhances the Meltagun’s base damage, maximum range, demolition force, and handling. Distance scaling uses the game’s native beam settings, with a configured damage target of 1/1 at 30 meters.

    Changed Stats

    Base normal damage: 2600 → 5400
    Base durable damage: 2600 → 5400
    Maximum range: 15m → 30m
    DemoForce: 30 → 40
    Ergonomics: 10 → 40
    Focal damage multiplier: 0.6 → 1/5400, approximately 0.000185185

    Distance Damage Reference

The following values assume linear scaling from 5400/5400 at 0m to 1/1 at 30m. They are calculated reference values, not measured gameplay damage. The game’s actual interpolation curve may differ. Armor, hit location, and beam contact duration also affect damage dealt.

    Normal Damage / Durable Damage

    0m: 5400.0 / 5400.0
    1m: 5220.0 / 5220.0
    2m: 5040.1 / 5040.1
    3m: 4860.1 / 4860.1
    4m: 4680.1 / 4680.1
    5m: 4500.2 / 4500.2
    6m: 4320.2 / 4320.2
    7m: 4140.2 / 4140.2
    8m: 3960.3 / 3960.3
    9m: 3780.3 / 3780.3
    10m: 3600.3 / 3600.3
    11m: 3420.4 / 3420.4
    12m: 3240.4 / 3240.4

    19m: 1980.6 / 1980.6
    20m: 1800.7 / 1800.7
    21m: 1620.7 / 1620.7
    22m: 1440.7 / 1440.7
    23m: 1260.8 / 1260.8
    24m: 1080.8 / 1080.8
    25m: 900.8 / 900.8
    26m: 720.9 / 720.9
    27m: 540.9 / 540.9
    28m: 360.9 / 360.9
    29m: 181.0 / 181.0
    30m: 1.0 / 1.0

    Performance

Uses optimized discovery that stops broad memory scanning after successful application. Distance scaling uses native beam settings and adds no per-hit Lua damage calculation.

Requires Bingus Shared Loader.

To better protect Ciaphas Cain, Jurgen secretly modified his Melta Gun behind the Tech-Priests backs.

It should help ensure that Cain's heroic exploits continue for many more battles to come.

would it be possible to get a version that changes only the range? perhaps 25 meters? 20 is fine too; But I was thinking perhaps like with option toggles so you could switch it around from 20-30 in 5meter increments

Thanks for the work you've done already! Love this and your boltgun mod, just hoping the range extension would stop the performance issues I seem to have with it installed perhaps? I don't know...

I just saw your comment.

I’ve now uploaded a 30m range version that is more faithful to Warhammer 40K lore, including the tabletop rules.

If you’d like, which version should I use as the base? Or are you asking for a standalone mod that only adjusts the range?

Thankyou for this lore accurate mod Good Sir, I do have 1 small request. Can you please buff the epoch without the needing to use the HD2runtime like the one available in the ayaka mod list

so the lore accurate version would be the most fun to just test out and mess around with?

I'm currently using lore accurate melta and it still feels 20m when it should be 30m, unless muh CPU circuits are glitchin' D:

After another test, yeah, my flame doesn't hurt anything or destroy anything till 15 meters. :( I also kinda felt the Ergonomics wasn't changed at all. Demo WAS working tho, idk about damage.

It worked fine when I tested it. Do you happen to have any other beam weapon-related mods installed?

Oukay, turns out mii brain did short circuit, moved Melta in highest que next to runtime, tried ingame and works! Destroyed a tree from 30m away!

I also had the problem with HD2MM deleting it saying no manifest found in directory. After a little work I discovered that HD2MM doesn't like the "/" symbols in the manifest. To get it to work you have to extract the Zip file, change the "/"s to something else, I used "-", then compress all the files back to a Zip again.
Thanks, bro!
