A Mod for Helldivers 2
Customizable LIFT-182 Warp Pack akl_mod_preview_image
Now you can be an enderman

LIFT-182 Warp Pack Modifiers allows you to customize the distance, vertical tolerance, charge behavior, recharge speed, and destructive effects of the LIFT-182 Warp Pack.

Features

Warp Distance
Changes how far the Warp Pack teleports you. Vanilla: 10 meters.

Distance x10
Multiplies the selected Warp Distance by 10 for extreme-distance warps.

Vertical Tolerance
Changes how far above or below your current position the Warp Pack can find a valid destination. Adjustable up to 100 meters. Setting this to 0 preserves the vanilla asymmetric values.

Charges
Changes how many consecutive warps can be performed before the Warp Pack reaches its unsafe heat threshold.

Unlimited Charges
Allows roughly 1000 consecutive warps before reaching the heat limit.

Recharge Time
Changes how quickly the Warp Pack recovers heat between uses. Lower values provide faster recharge.

Unsafe Warp Effects
Enables or disables the damaging effects associated with overheating the Warp Pack.

Warp Damage
Changes the damage dealt around the location you warp to. Standard and durable damage are scaled together.

Warp Damage Radius
Changes the size of the damage area around your destination, including the inner, outer, and shockwave radii.

Warp Demolition Force
Changes the demolition strength of the Warp Pack's destination explosion.

Requirements

  • Bingus Shared Loader v18 or newer
  • Mod Options Menu - Setting included in Bingus Vanilla Plus Megapack
  • Full game restart after installing, updating, or removing the mod

Installation

  1. Import the ZIP into your Helldivers 2 mod manager.
  2. Make sure Bingus Shared Loader and Mod Options Menu are installed and enabled.
  3. Disable or remove older versions of LIFT-182 Warp Pack Modifiers.
  4. Purge and redeploy your mods.
  5. Fully restart Helldivers 2.
  6. Configure the Warp Pack through Mod Options Menu.

Compatibility

Mods that change unrelated equipment should generally be compatible. Mods or stat editors that modify the same Warp Pack, explosion, damage, or heat-related fields may overwrite or conflict with these settings.

Runtime Memory Edits

This mod applies temporary runtime-memory changes while Helldivers 2 is running. It does not permanently modify the game's original files.

Game updates may change internal data structures and can temporarily break compatibility. Anti-cheat/GameGuard compatibility is not guaranteed. Use at your own risk.

Looks like it's about time to put back my badge of "Exemplary Subject", and my trusty Apollonian armor !

Goin' into the field, giving it a run... I mostly want to see if with a certain "physics"/QoL mod, it's still easy to parameter distances and heights, while still being able to break open containers.

EDIT : Coming back from a low risk excursion.

All systems nominal, no loss of frames on my end, everything concerning this mod seems stable and solid. In term of possibilities, and after just a small amount of tweeks, I can safely say we can very easily reach the full potential of the Warp pack in very little effort. Perhaps the greatest stat to modify for a maximum comfort is by far the "Vertical tolerance" . . . but be aware, depending of your intends you will need to parameter it accordingly. The testing below was done with a reasonable distance upgrade of 2 extra meters ( 10 > 12 ) :

> If your intention is to raid bunkers and take over what's inside for your and your teammates, be advised that "Vertical Tolerance" must be set around "0" to "1.5" for greatest efficiency... The limit is "2.0", where it can become finicky with the terrain ( The only way I found to profit from this final limit and still access bunkers is to stay perfectly still in front of the place you're aiming at, no directional inputs, and press the action key required to warp... tryin' to move while it's setup at 2.0 will block you in front of the door or teleport you behind ) . . . As the "1.0.1" is currently set, I don't know if something can be done to improve by default the targeting of bunkers , but chances are : this is something that we will all have to manually keep in check.

> If you are aiming for a tactical control and high ground over-watch, setting vertical at a value around 4 to 5 allows you to reach upper levels with a greater ease ( a pleasure when you're in small settlements map, reaching one building from another ). But most importantly, it gives you enough maneuverability to muffle your fall on the ground, without being stunned on landing ( and also avoiding taking some damages... but compared to being stunned in a critical moment, damages can be the least of your problems )

I'll have to give it further analyses in higher risks environments... but the combat abilities of the Warp Pack can make it a surprisingly good tool of "melee" combat, giving you enough room around you to clear a path for your allies. Be advised though, extending the reach + damage of the warp will DEFINITELY f**k around your perception of space . . . and annihilate your fellow divers if they stand near the crossfire, so, keep in mind your settings.

Beyond the test side that I've left above, I have a request / idea :

Would it be technically possible to add... other side effects ?

We know we can catch fire, damage our limbs, and explode... but what if we could also have other random effects ? Like a short lived healing, being affected by gas, acid ( specifically the acidic rain that reduce your armor value by 1 ), stasis... hell : even teleport to a random location on the map . . . and if we can push it the extra mile, with different heights possibilities ! ( minus the deadliest ranges . . . unless if it's optional, 'cause that would be quite fun to see XD )
