Custom Stratagem Compendium 2026-10-08

A Mod for Helldivers 2
Overview Reviews (2) History
Custom Stratagem Compendium akl_mod_preview_image
Helldivers! The Ministry of Defence and Morgunsun announce a new package of brand new stratagems that will be coming to your destroyers today!

We present the Custom Stratagem Compendium!

Today We Present.png
Democracy's Newest toys can be found on the right.

Barrage the surface in *stun*ningly beautiful EMS clouds and let our enemies breath in Democracy's finest gas while Pelican shall aid you from the skies with a variety of munitions. Found something utterly hideous and MOST undemocratic?! The MS-N223 Shredder Silo will erase it from Democracy's watchful eye.

We at Morgunsun also present a new array of expendable weaponry with experimental warheads, aiming to complete the expendable family. From cluster to chemical payloads, your expendable heart shall be satisfied.
Sentry enjoyers also finally get a way to pay back against heavily armoured enemies without bringing the largest of guns thanks to the newly developed HMG sentry!

Custom Names Tags Codes Descriptions and more!.jpg

Custom descriptions, codes, tags and more are supported!

Mix-Match-As-Pleased.jpg

Mix and match with vanilla stratagems as you please, Helldiver!

A old classic HD1 veterans may remember.png

Veterans of the first war may remember this beauty!

The proper way to dispose of a jammer.png

The only way to rid of a stratagem jammer...

Pelican Joins The Fight.png

Pelican joins the fight for liberty for real now!

These new stratagems are powered by HD2Runtime's brand new 0.3 version by SkyeShade that will support the creation of future custom stratagems just like those in the Compendium. Her work was invaluable in making this happen!

Obviously HD2Runtime version 0.3 and above.
BSL 19+ will also be required!

Please, for those that have issues, POST THE HD2Runtime LOG FILES.
No one can do anything with stuff like : "It doesn't work."
If you want issues to be fixed (And trust me, I wanna fix them.), then provide logs.

Update : Apparently the issues arise from mod incompatibilities. A patch will come.

It's really strange, all of the Pelican supports (MG, cannon, and gas) are replaced with other stratagems and on 59 mikes cooldown.
I'm running HD2 0.30 now

Correct. CSC will have to be installed by every participant in the lobby alongside HD2R 0.30.0.
HD2R 0.30.0 prevents the joining and hosting of public lobbies anyway. And there is no way to get it to work without everyone having CSC and HD2R + BSL.

With HD2R rolling back this decision, will this be rolled back too?

I agree that people using them in public lobbies is rude, but I have friends on PS and Xbox, meaning I can never use it with them, even in private lobbies. I know it requires trusting the end user to be reasonable, but that's kind of the philosophy behind modding in general IMO

I was having the strategem turning into a vanilla one with a 1 hour cooldown bug too. Then I got HDRuntime 0.30.1 and it fixed it.

Worked for two missions but exited the game and now the
Make It Stop No More GIF
menu to select the stuff was just gone, love the new silo though the bots deserved it

It is a general limitation with modding overall.
Lemme describe it in terms of Minecraft modding. If you download a mod that adds a fancy new sword, everyone would need to have it because the others can't just manifest the assets out of thin air.

That is the most basic fact with content adding mods. It isn't made to prevent use in public lobbies or anything. It literally just breaks when combined with vanilla clients.

And even if we somehow managed a way to broadcast mod files from the host to clients, it'd turn HD2 into a minefield of viruses as each lobby would then be really risky to join as you wouldn't know if the host will just broadcasts a virus ridden mod.
