CLASSIFIED REPORT // MINISTRY OF MUSIC
Cyberstan's best-kept secret has fallen into our hands. For years the Automatons ran a classified morale program: a stolen and reworked soundtrack, blasted through every factory, dropship and frontline unit. It kept their legions marching without fear, wave after wave. A Helldiver squad raided the propaganda station that broadcast it, put one round straight through the skull on the master record, and spray-painted their own name over the bot title. The Ministry of Music has decrypted the recordings. The bots' secret weapon now fights for Super Earth.

This is the biggest and most complete music overhaul ever made for Helldivers 2. No music mod has covered this much before: every stage of a mission, separate music for every faction, random playlists, and in-game volume sliders, all in one package.

SEIZED ON CYBERSTAN · PROPERTY OF SUPER EARTH​

Liber-Tunes replaces the music of Helldivers 2 with fan covers and remixes of the game's own themes. From the title screen to the flagpole, every moment gets its own playlist, every faction gets its own battle music, and the track is picked at random each time. Expect lo-fi tea on the bridge, choirs in the Hellpod, battle music for bots, bugs and squids alike, and anthems at the flagpole.

  • The most complete music mod for the game: 120+ tracks of fan covers and remixes, all built from the game's own themes. Nothing feels out of place on a Super Destroyer.
  • A soundtrack for every moment: the title screen, the ship, the Hellpod, battle, extraction, Pelican takeoff, the flagpole, the loadout screen and the drop-zone map.
  • Every front has its own sound: separate battle and extraction playlists for Automatons, Terminids and Illuminate.
  • Never the same mission twice: tracks are picked at random, so even your 500th drop sounds new.
  • Liberty Day, every 26 October: a whole holiday soundtrack plays on the greatest day of the Super Earth calendar, then goes back into the vault for a year.
  • Even volume, smooth transitions: every track is levelled to the same loudness and fades in and out gently.
  • Drops timed to the beat: all 15 Hellpod covers are aligned to the drop, so the music lands when you do.
  • You run the mixing desk: 5 in-game volume sliders, or the plain music-only version if you want zero dependencies.
  • Safe and clean: native game audio, no memory hacks, and nothing to set up after installing.

  • Title screen: 6 tracks at "Press any button", shuffled and looping.
  • Super Destroyer: 17 lo-fi, piano, blues and cowboy takes on "A Cup of Liber-Tea" and more, shuffled and looping.
  • Hellpod drop: 15 covers of the main theme, one picked at random, each one timed to the drop.
  • Battle: a separate playlist for Automatons, Terminids and Illuminate. The quiet parts between fights stay vanilla.
  • Extraction: a separate playlist for each faction, from calling the Pelican until takeoff.
  • Pelican takeoff: 14 tracks, one at random.
  • Raise the flag: 5 anthems at the flagpole instead of the vanilla anthem, random and looping.
  • Loadout screen and drop-zone map: dark ambient remixes of the vanilla music, with a low guitar riff, a distant air-raid siren, bells and strings. The game still arranges the pieces itself.
  • Lift back into the ship: a dark ambient remix of the vanilla piece.
  • Mission end: a new, original orchestral piece for the squad's rise on the platform, written for this mod. Horns, low brass, choir, taiko and the clank of Automaton steel.

LIBERTY DAY · 26 OCTOBER​
Liberty Day is the greatest holiday of Super Earth, and Liber-Tunes celebrates it. On 26 October, from midnight to midnight by your computer's date, the mod plays its own Liberty Day playlists: holiday marches, choirs and anthems on the title screen, on the ship, on the loadout screen, in the Hellpod, in battle against every faction, at extraction, on takeoff and at the flagpole. The drop-zone map, the lift back into the ship and the mission-end platform keep the everyday music. On every other day of the year you hear only the everyday playlists.
Needs the "Music + volume sliders" option (the small addon checks the date). Mark your calendar: the holiday music plays only on that day.

Choose the "Music + volume sliders" option and open ESC > MODS > LIBER-TUNES. Each slider goes from 0 to 200 %. 100 % is the volume the mod ships with, and 200 % is about +6 dB.
  • Ship Ambient Music: also covers the title screen, the loadout screen and the drop-zone map.
  • Drop-In Music
  • Battle Music: also covers the flagpole anthem.
  • Extraction Music
  • Pelican Takeoff Music: also covers the lift back into the ship and the mission-end platform.
The sliders need Bingus Shared Loader (keep it last in the load order) and Mod Options Menu. Without them the music still plays at the built-in volume. The addon only sets the game's own audio parameters. It reads and writes no game memory.

  1. Add the zip in your mod manager and choose an option: Music + volume sliders or Music only.
  2. Turn off other music mods. They change the same music banks, and only one music mod can win.
  3. Music mods can break after a game update. If the music goes missing, wait for an update of this mod.

  • Conflicts: any other mod that replaces music.
  • Works with: mods that do not touch the music banks.
  • Multiplayer: the change is client-side, so only you hear it. Your squad hears their own music.

BUG REPORTS AND FEEDBACK​
Post in the Posts tab or the Bugs tab. Say where the music played (title screen, ship, drop, battle, extraction, takeoff, flag), against which faction, and what is wrong. To name a track, give its part and number from the track list below, for example "Drop 7" or "Battle Automatons 3". With the "Music + volume sliders" option the mod writes a log: please attach %LOCALAPPDATA%\CowboyBingus\Helldivers2\LiberTunes\LiberTunes.log.

HOW TO REPORT A BUG (please read before posting)

Thanks for helping, Helldiver! A good report gets fixed fast. Please include:

1. What went wrong
For example: no music, the vanilla music plays instead, a track is too loud or too quiet, a track cuts off, the game crashes, the sliders do nothing.

2. Where it happened
Title screen, ship, loadout screen, drop-zone map, Hellpod drop, battle, extraction, Pelican takeoff, flag raising, or the mission-end platform.
For battle and extraction, also say which faction: Automatons, Terminids or Illuminate.

3. Which track (if you know it)
Use the part and the number from the TRACK LIST (in the description and in README.txt), for example "Drop 7" or "Battle Automatons 3".

4. Your setup
- Mod version (see README.txt or the file name, e.g. 1.2.0)
- Option you installed: "Music + volume sliders" or "Music only"
- Mod manager (HD2Arsenal, Relapse's Mod Manager, ...)
- Other music or audio mods you have (they change the same banks and only one can win)

5. The log (option "Music + volume sliders" only)
Attach these files (upload them to Pastebin or Google Drive and post the link):

Bug reports go to the Bugs tab. Ideas and track suggestions are welcome in Posts.

I don't understand why it is so hard to just scroll further if you don't like something? 99% of the music in this mod is not made by AI, I also manually selected all the tracks and put them in appropriate places. I've spent a week making this mod, and I don't earn anything from it. I just made it for myself and decided to share it with everyone. Yet there are only 2 comments here, and both are complaints about AI. What is wrong with you people?

If there's a comment without their avatar, it's highly possible just comment bots.
This website auto-set their gmail avatar as default avatar, so without an avatar means it's not real human.
