Greetings to /ddg/ and /v/, this is for you.
Description
Dragon's Dogma 2 suffers from inconsistent mouse camera movement, where the speed of your movement affects how far your camera rotates.
Linear Mouse adresses this by patching functions directly in the game's executable memory that contribute to mouse acceleration and nonlinear camera controls. Rather than attempting to compensate for acceleration with LUA scripts like other mods do, the adjustment targets the underlying camera calculations.
tldr; once bugs are found and fixed this should work better than other mods for the issue

Installation instructions
- Install the latest compatible version of REFramework for Dragon's Dogma 2.
- Download and extract the mod archive.
- Place the following files into your Dragon's Dogma 2 installation
- DD2_LinearMouse_Native_v07.dll --> reframework/plugins/
- DD2_LinearMouse_Menu_v07.lua --> reframework/autorun/
- DD2_LinearMouse_v07.ini --> reframework/data/
- Remove any previous versions of Linear Mouse and disable other mouse acceleration or camera sensitivity scripts to avoid conflicts.
- Launch the game and open the REFramework menu using Insert.
- Navigate to Script Generated UI → DD2 Linear Mouse to adjust your settings.
Main features
- Reduced mouse acceleration: Patches the game's speed-dependent camera calculations to provide more consistent movement regardless of how quickly you move your mouse
- Linear mouse response: Bypasses a nonlinear mouse curve, making slow and fast movements proportional
- Adjustable sensitivity: Change overall mouse sensitivity independently down to the decimal
- Independent vertical sensitivity: Adjust the vertical/horizontal sensitivity ratio
- Live REFramework configuration: Change both sensitivity values through a simple in-game menu without restarting
- Persistent settings: Your configuration is automatically saved and restored between sessions
- Native implementation: Camera corrections are handled by a native DLL rather than continuously modifying camera properties through Lua
- Non-permanent patching: Changes are applied to the game's memory at runtime. The original exe remains untouched
Requirements
- REFramework
- No additional camera mods or Lua dependencies are installed
