# Orbital Laser — Unlimited Uses
Version 1.1.0
The Orbital Laser has unlimited uses per mission. Its base cooldown remains at the game's original 300 seconds; ship upgrades and mission modifiers can affect the timer.
Why no cooldown tweaks? Because this mod was previously removed from this site and I suspect balance reason. Also it was requested.
Laser damage, duration, targeting, and call-in delay remain unchanged. Other stratagems are unaffected.
## Requirements
- Helldivers 2 on Windows x64.
- Bingus Shared Loader v15 or newer / API 1, compatible with your installed game build.
- Arsenal or HD2MM.
## Installation and upgrade
1. Close Helldivers 2. Remove or disable v1.0.0 from the mod manager.
2. Import this ZIP, enable it and Bingus Shared Loader. Keep the loader last with default Arsenal priority, or first with first-mod priority.
3. Purge / Deploy, then launch the game. Allow the startup scan to finish on your ship.
The manager GUID and internal resource identity are retained from v1.0.0 so this release replaces it. Do not enable both versions. A fresh game launch resets the old in-memory 60-second cooldown edit; v1.1.0 never writes cooldown bytes.
## Compatibility and troubleshooting
Avoid combining this with another mod that changes the Orbital Laser's uses. This release identifies a record whose base cooldown is 300 seconds; a separate cooldown mod can prevent a match depending on loading order. Game updates may require a revised version.
Status is written to:
`%LOCALAPPDATA%\CowboyBingus\Helldivers2\OrbitalLaser60\STATUS.txt`
A typical path is:
`C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\CowboyBingus\Helldivers2\OrbitalLaser60\STATUS.txt`
An `OK` result means the record was matched and the use count was verified. A fourth call-in after normal cooldown is the in-game check. The scan runs once at startup; if the game reloads settings later, restart to reapply the patch. Host/client combinations have not been independently verified.
## Uninstall
Close the game, disable/remove this mod, Purge / Deploy, and restart. The edit is in memory only.
## Credits
Release project: Miker, with coding assistance from ChatGPT/Codex. Requires Bingus Shared Loader by CowboyBingus, distributed separately. Memory access helpers were adapted from the supplied M6C SOCOM AP4 Durable 60 v2.0.0 addon.
Editable source is included for reference and is not deployed directly. See DEVELOPMENT.md for rebuilding, or my github on my profile for the less cooldown version.
