Updates for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
- Fixed cropped lines in quests. Many were cropped because “cinematic” dialogs (style 0) do not support three lines, and my rebalance script incorrectly assumed that they did, resulting in cropped text.
- Added ruby text to “Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator,” following the same pattern as in the original Japanese version.
- re-added the common.bdat file, where the uncensoring actually takes place; I forgot to include it in the previous version.

Consider this version mandatory, as it fixes over 1,000 truncated lines.

- As I mentioned earlier, starting with this release, changes and translations are being handled by BelugaGuy. I will continue to update the forum thread and GitHub.
My involvement in this project from the translation standpoint is officially over (it had been that way for some time). I'd rather focus on polishing Xenoblade 2 and 3, and finishing up other projects (GBA's Fire Emblem games, porting kwhazit's translation of Chrono Trigger to the DS and PC versions, etc.).
- Hundreds of lines have been edited to standardize the lore, making the dialogue less stiff and easier to understand
- The entire main storyline has been retranslated
- Most side missions have been translated (especially those involving the protagonists), but they definitely need some polishing, so some sentences may still sound a bit rough and too literal.
- A complete line rebalancing has been performed. In the case of Xenoblade X, this isn’t all that significant, since the game’s engine handles long lines quite well, but this will make them look nicer and be easier to read.
