Following the 5.55 kernel dump string by PS4 developer MathieuLH today, PS4 developer Fire30_ has release a 6.20 kernel dump string. This is enough proof to say that he has a decrypted kernel of the 6.20 firmware

"r109816/release_branches/release_06.200 Nov 2 2018 05:41:33"

But do't be too much hyped, this does not mean that he will release a kernel exploit, you still need some patience !

A simple comparaison with the 6.20 testkit pup

Its gonna take time for public.... but eventually will get shared some day, good news. And great job

If we are lucky 5.55 and 6.20 use different entry points which could mean a possible 5.55 release first BUT that seems unlikely any time soon specially if 5.55 exploit hasn't been patched
With Fire30 its almost certain he will release his exploit going by his previous releases its just a matter of when..
Hopefully it don't get patched anytime soon so we can get maximum benefit from it

This dev has a good history of making his releases public. But theres a debate going on wheather to release it now or EOL. Another FW update may block his kexploit and we are back to square one.

Exactly.

I vote to wait. PS4 probably only has 2 or 3 years of life left. It would be a shame that we missed out on an exploit that could take us all the way to the end by getting greedy today.

Im wondering, 5.05 entry point was patched in recents fw or its still hackable? Thats the point of between realease now/or wait untill Sony shuts the door. From that logic i totally understand.

Why? If she or he just released 6.20 kexploit. Then this is legit would be have added to dev trusted list.
well, the person has a good history in the PS4 scene and now we see a big step from'em ...

The 5.05 exploit was patched by Sony and no longer usable as of 5.50. This is why updating past 5.05 breaks things.

All this discussion in this thread is regarding a possible new exploit. If it's released publicly, you can correctly assume Sony will patch it within days leaving us with no known entry points all over again.

If this is real, this could be it. The last chance we get this generation. It's something worth waiting for...

You usually have to wait for that which is worth waiting for.
