Can you run new ps4 games that run on 5.55 on 5.05 ?

No, you can't play games that require a higher firmware than 5.05/5.07 like e.g. 5.55 on any lower firmware version. It is simply impossible because there is no working spoofer or bypasser and there are no exploits for higher firmware than 5.05/5.07 at the moment.

He means that if he updates the OFW in order to play games such as Spiderman or RDR2, there is no going back to CFW for the time being.

That's true indeed. Hence why many people buy second console to play newer games
. Of course this path is not really cheap and barely a good option for people who are on tight budget.Whatever, Devs/Hackers have new exploit, eta wen, then... Nintendo switch have update 7.0 yesterday and it's cracked in a few hours so WTF with ps4??

Switch has a hardware exploit so they always have a starting point of entry when a new firmware comes out. This is huge and provides them a massive advantage in keeping the hacks current.
PS4 has no such luxury so software exploits are precious. Release one too soon and Sony closes it immediately with the next software update. You always want a secondary entry point before you even think about releasing the first one. This is more important than playing Spiderman or RDR2 today on CFW
