My Switch got banned...now what?

Hello everyone,

I was being a dumbass and before i did my research i just jailbroke my switch and now its banned during the quarantine.

so my question now is....

What now?

am I doomed? and have to find a switch during these hard times?

will I ever be able to update the firmware?

what do you suggest I do with it now? (fw 9.2 i think)

I wish you would have seen my profile and maybe read my threads and my tutorials. I show how to prevent being banned.

To answer your question: you nintendo switch will never be able to connect to nintendo servers again. (and everything that entitles) also it will never receive OTA updates again.

My switch has been banned for well over a year and hasn't bothered me one bit. The only real difference is I manually have to install firmware and game updates which isn't hard at all. Don't worry about it, your honestly not missing much at all

If anything, being banned is actually better, free games from now on, welcome to the party!

If you restart your switch and take out the microSD, can you play original games online without being banned? It's a Hardware hack, right? So are they still able to see that your switch has been used for playing cracked games?

no, taking your sd card out will not protect you from being banned.
not even resetting your console to default will protect you

in this scenario the only way is to restore you NAND back up.

if you have jailbroken your nintendo switch sysnand you will still get banned. even if you are playing with a legit game cart you bought at the store and even if you are on sysnand.

no one is 100 percent sure how tendo does it. but we have ideas. one of them is tendo is an error log hungry monster, the moment you connect to tendo servers. they will know the log belongs to a hacked unit and will proceed with the ban.

if you dont want to get banned set up emunand and run 90 DNS with incognito

I bought a banned one and I used kefir updater to put a fake nintendo account on it so it lets you games that check for that. Haven't found any games that don't work after I did that.
