Question about blocking updates

Hello everyone,

I just had few questions regarding blocking updates. I have used the block updates payload and disabled automatic downloads & updates.

My question is does the update blocker payload block updates from downloading and installing even when I start a game? Also, do I need to enable the update blocker payload every time I restart the PS4?

if you run the update blocker, the update can still download and will try to install but it will fail and give an error every time.
