What CFW is recommended?

Dear comunity,
After seeing tons of Youtube videos and reading lots of post, I'm now bit cofused what to deside?
Simple question,

I have a hackable Nintendo Switch which is running on OFW 5.1.0.

SO, what CFW should I use for my Switch for the best game playing experience, and why?

I'm looking forword to have your opinions and advices.

From what I have been hearing, you want 8.1.0.

At least for now, this firmware will give you the most flexibility to play the most games with the most features. It hasn't been fully explained, but the 9.X firmwares still contain some sort of protection or security that isn't optimal with Atmosphere CFW yet (even though it's been widely reported otherwise)

I'm hoping someone else will step up with a more detailed explanation of this 8.1.0 vs 9.0.0 debate.

best firmware as of now is 8.0.0 or 8.1.0 pick one it does not really matter
8.x.x is the best as of now because it will allow you to play all games (old and new) currently available, it is stable, and most important homebrew apps work on it.

( I recommend Atmosphere as the method )

First of all, thank you to both of you (@dorianx12 & @Styleman)

you have answered what I really need.
One last question,
- Do I need to update my OFW to 8.0.0 to use the 8.0.0 CFW or I can stay within my version OFW 5.1.0 and run the CFW too(I have read that is possible, but want to ask you to be sure)?

P.s: Any link of easy AIO installation of your recommendation would be wonderful.

im running the latest fw 9.0.1 had no problems with Atmosphere or goldleaf
https://sdsetup.com/ great for downloading all the files you we need
 
@rexapu DO NOT UPDATE OFW ( you are lucky to have a lower firmware switch)
use choidujournx to update CFWs
choidujournx will allow you to update firmware without burning fuses.
