M-1000 Maxigun — No Movement Lock v2.1

A Mod for Helldivers 2
M-1000 Maxigun — No Movement Lock akl_mod_preview_image
UNRESTRICTED MAXIGUN

The M-1000 Maxigun roots you to the ground the moment you start firing. Great gun,
terrible idea when a Charger is closing in and your legs stop answering.

This mod removes that lock. The Maxigun now behaves like a regular support weapon —
you walk, you turn, you reposition while shooting, exactly like the standard MG-43
Machine Gun. That's it.

WHAT IT DOES
- Removes the movement lock while firing the M-1000 Maxigun
- Handling now matches a standard support weapon
- No changes to damage, ammo, recoil or spread
- Does not affect any other weapon

REQUIREMENTS
- Bingus Shared Loader (required — this mod will not work without it)

INSTALLATION (HD2 Arsenal)
1. Install Bingus Shared Loader and place it FIRST in your load order
2. Install this mod and place it AFTER Bingus
3. Launch the game

Load order matters. If Bingus loads after this mod, nothing will happen.

v2.1: better compatibility, it no longer overwrites other mods' hooks.

I tested it with two mods:
- Gore OFF v1.3: doesn't work, because its Bingus v14 is rigid and only loads a fixed list of mods. It works fine with Bingus v15.
- Orbital Laser Free: it writes logs but doesn't perform its function, and the Maxigun stops working along the way.

If you use the laser, it's worth letting its author know: the scan picks up copies of its own data in memory, counts the laser multiple times, and aborts itself with "duplicate record". It also raises RAM usage while scanning.

PS: I might take a while to upload this to Nexus since I have some programming work to get through. Sorry for the trouble, have a great day and a happy Warbond!

It doesnt seem to be working alongside "HUD Ballistic trajectory Overlay" mod, i tried with all load orders, the one working for me rn is Arsenal *first mod* priority - 1st-v15 loader, 2nd-this mod, 3rd-megapack, 4th-hd2hud
HUD Ballistic trajectory Overlay conflicts with Bingus shared loader v15, which is why it doesn't work.

Also, this mod might need update the support from Codex Module Bridge, since it could overwrite other mods, too.
(or other mod need to update, i'm not sure)

A few FYI words for whom it may concern:

1. This mod works just fine, but it will conflict due to the memory reading aspect. It also can work just fine alongside ballistic trajectory overlay.

2. After some painstaking testing, I can attest it conflicts with other mods that do the same thing of reading memory and changing it (i.e., double levelers, orbital laser, dominator bolt pistol round or other round value changes, etc.). And even if they do work together... you will suffer performance issues.

3. Conflicts will not show up inside your mod loader—you will just have to check and know by yourself.

3. If for some reason your ballistic trajectory overlay is not working... go check your modlist again because by default it is compatible with BSL v15.

Probably the other mods... Until there's a way, I'm not sure one should install too many of these mods.

I can't believe it, but this mod conflicts with Better Female Armors (exactly Extras part, not Main one).
How. Why. Fix, please.

My mod order on HD2 mod manager: BFA main, BFA extras, This M-1000 mod, Bingus shared loader.

If placed after extras, works just fine.

We're working on making this mod compatible with as many other mods as possible, without breaking anything along the way. That takes time, since every change needs testing before it goes live.

Stay tuned for upcoming versions, and thanks for your patience. If you run into a conflict with another mod, let me know which one and I'll look into it.

Honestly didn't expect this much support for a first mod — thank you.

Honestly screw my last suggestion. If someone could make it so it doesn't need a fucken backpack and I can jetpack around with a minigun, that'd be way better then heavy pen.

This mod does not work, I 100% sure.... I manage to get the hover pack mod work, but this one doesn't. I triple check to make sure Bingus Shared Loader mod is load first and priority and still not work, no clue what the problem.
