What is this?

AyakaNTEBypasser is a lightweight runtime patcher for Neverness to Everness that neutralises the game's built-in signature verification check. Without this bypass, the game detects modified or injected assets and refuses to load them. This tool patches a single function in HTGame.exe At startup, no game files are modified on disk.

How it works:

The bypass is injected as a .asi DLL via any standard ASI loader. On attach it:

  1. Checks the host process name, exits silently if it is notHTGame.exe, leaving crash reporters and launchers completely untouched
  2. Scans the loaded module for one of six known byte patterns that identify the signature verification function across game versions
  3. Follows the relative jump from the matched pattern to the actual check routine
  4. Writes a three-byte patch (MOV AL, 1 / RET) that forces the check to always return success

The entire operation completes in under one second and leaves no permanent changes to the game installation.

Stealth features:
  • PEB unlink: the module is removed from all three Windows loader lists (InLoadOrder, InMemoryOrder, InInitializationOrder) so module enumeration tools cannot see it
  • The header erases: the PE/MZ header page, which is zeroed in memory after injection, removing the on-disk signature from any memory scan
  • Compile-time string encryption: all sensitive strings (process name, log filename) are XOR-encrypted at compile time via a constexpr template and only decrypted at runtime
  • No debug symbols: Release builds ship with no PDB and no debug information

Multi-version pattern support:

The patcher carries six independent byte patterns covering different builds and updates of NTE. If the game updates and shifts the function, it will automatically fall through to the next pattern. When a match is found, the pattern number and resolved address are written to the log so you can verify it is working.

Installation:
  1. The Bypasser must be installed in the following folder C:\Program Files\Neverness To Everness\Client\WindowsNoEditor\HT\Binaries\Win64\
  2. The mod installed here: C:\Program Files\Neverness To Everness\Client\WindowsNoEditor\HT\Content\Paks\
  3. Create a ~mods folder and put it in the mod files.

Is this a virus? No, false potitive and compiled heavily for protection.

Trouble with ASI deleted by antivirus?

II have the Steam version of the game; the bypass worked on version 1.2. Since version 1.3, the game crashes. I only have the bypass installed and an empty mods folder.

How do I tell if whether or not the Bypasser has a problem or if the mods are faulty? I am using the NTE launcher and followed every step, but the game doesn't seem to load the mods after the game runs. I have tried to run only one mod at a time, many mods at once, using only new mods, and repairing the launcher; but the same outcome occurs every time with no outfits or anything being changed. Is the Bypasser supposed to generate some type of log file that is supposed to appear in Client\WindowsNoEditor\HT\Binaries\Win64\ if it works? If it is supposed to, then what should I do if I don't see a log file generated?

seems like all mods that replaces skins are working. only ones that are currently broken are ones that adds stuff to the existing game, such as cooldown timers & pink paw heist outlines

Skin mods were working after I installed for 2 days and now today the bypasser gives me a message that's it's unable to open when I launch the game.

Having the same issue here. No errors, just loading into the game without a single mod working. I've gone in and out the game over 20 times at this point, think I'm just rolling over and giving up now.

I tried that as well just in case that was it, but that also failed. Also, in the READ ME note, it says to place it into Paks (which makes sense as it's only editing textures like many other mods for other games) while I think the description says to place it into Win64 (which I've never heard of for modding textures/outfits before until now)

"
- Confirm the `.pak|.utoc|.ucas|.sig` file is inside `Neverness To Everness\Client\WindowsNoEditor\HT\Content\Paks\~mods\`
- Confirm you used the correct server folder (China vs Global)
- Confirm `AyakaNTEModLoader.asi` is present in `everness To Everness\Client\WindowsNoEditor\HT\Binaries\Win64\`
"
^This is what I see after opening README.md for AyakaNTEModLoader v1.1.1a under "Troubleshooting" and "**Game launches but mods are not loading**"

I don't seem to be able to get (at least this version of) AyakaNTEModLoader to work, and I'm not sure if the .asi file is even injecting as I don't see any log files being generated nor can I detect anything (from my understanding at least) from the Listener in Terminal.

I ended just using the Universal Sig Bypasser v1.2 and d3d9-x64 to mod NTE. Not really sure how to make the AyakaNTEModLoader work in the end.

I just ended up using the Universal Sig Bypasser v1.2 and d3d9-x64 on GameBanana. If you place those into "Client\WindowsNoEditor\HT\Binaries\Win64" It seemed to work at least for modded skins, but I haven't tested it with other more intricate mods on NTE v1.3. This version of the Bypasser seems to work as I would expect and generates a log file in Win64 whenever the game is run and should always appear as the latest "Date Modified" file in Win64 if you want to check if the .asi file is correctly injected. The mods then go in the conventional "Neverness To Everness\Client\WindowsNoEditor\HT\Content\Paks\~mods\" if it's the usual .pak, .utoc, .ucas, or .sig you see from most mods.

Are you using the AyakaNTEModLoader? If you are, then I would like to know the path you used to place everything from the actual .asi file, the .dll file, and the ~mods folder since I am genuinely curious what I did wrong for AyakaNTEModLoader to never work on any of my devices.
