This is an open-source mod. The full source, including documentation, can be found in the listed Github repo.

Hellpod Steering Unlocked lets you steer toward rooftops, rocks, and high ground without the game’s invisible avoidance system pushing your hellpod away.

This mod is client-side and does not affect other players' steering.

Install: Close the game, import HellpodSteeringUnlocked.zip into HDArsenal, and enable it. Launch normally. No configuration is needed.

Version v4.1 supports Windows x64, Steam build 24826606 / EXE 1.8.45317.0.

AI disclosure: GPT-6 Astra was used for this project’s research, implementation, debugging, documentation, and artwork.

A mod like this sounds great but is it 100% safe?

No mod is 100% safe from detection. If Arrowhead truly wanted, they could implement anti-cheats to detect even these harmless client-side mods. However, it is 99.999999% safe. And in the event I ever notice that they've started to crack down on the much more obvious mods (e.g. SC hacking), then I will be sure to make a notice and advise everyone accordingly.
