HOTD-ACCF - Ayaka Custom Character Framework (v1.0.0) by SLeNd3rMaN23
=======================================================================
for THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake
Adds your own player characters to THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake. Each one gets a slot on the
character select screen with its own name, bio, portrait, voice lines and, optionally, its own 3D model
for the cutscenes and the game over screen.
It is a mod and a modding tool in one:
- PLAYERS: install it, drop character folders into mods\customchar, pick them on the select screen.
- MODDERS: make a character with nothing more than a JSON file, a picture and some sound files.
Add a 3D model by exporting a rigged character from Blender as .glb (tutorial in readme).
Your saves stay 100% vanilla. Rogan and G remain selectable as normal.
DO NOT REUPLOAD THIS PROJECT!

INSTALL and Usage (For Players)
=======================================================================
1. Open the game folder, the one that contains "The House of the Dead Remake.exe".
(Steam: right-click the game > Manage > Browse local files.)
2. Extract everything in this archive into that folder.
You should end up with winhttp.dll and the BepInEx and mods folders next to the exe.
BepInEx 5 (the mod loader) is included. If you already have BepInEx 5 installed (for example
from the VR mod), you only need BepInEx\plugins\HOTD-ACCF and the mods folder.
3. Start the game.
To install a character someone else made: put its folder into
<game folder>\mods\customchar\
so that you have mods\customchar\<CharacterName>\character.json.
On the character select screen, change the character with the arrows (or left / right) as usual.
After Rogan and G come the custom characters, in alphabetical order of their folder names.
Every custom character "rides on" one of the two original agents, its base (Rogan or G).
The game itself only knows those two, so the base decides:
- which agent's cutscenes, story lines and save slot you use,
- who the second player gets in 2-player mode (always the other base, as in the original game).
What changes: the name, codename and bio on the select screen, the portrait, the name on the rank
screen, the reload / pain / death voice lines, and the character model in cutscenes and on the game
over screen. The game is first person, so during gameplay you see the model only in cutscenes.
Your last pick is remembered (mods\customchar\_selection.json).

INSTALL and Usage (For Modders)
=======================================================================
Same as above but I've added a modding tutorial in the readme please check it.
