ASSISTS AND COMFORT
-------------------
- Threat warnings: <!> arrows on your visor point at attackers and flying weapons outside your view
(green = coming at you, yellow = attacking, red = about to hit / projectile).
- Lock-on sights: rings around enemies attacking you, in the same colors.
- Path guide: after an area is cleared, a dotted line shows the way to the next stop.
- Thrown weapons and attacks aim at your real head, so you can dodge them or shoot them down
where you see them.
- Camera shake, hit recoil and walk bobbing are removed in the headset.
- The rail moves you but never turns your head for you (configurable).
- The game's controller vibration is played on your VR controllers.
SETTINGS
--------
After the first start, settings are in BepInEx\config\com.hotd2vr.mod.cfg (any text editor).
Useful ones:
[General] RenderScale lower (0.7 - 0.9) for more FPS
[Comfort] RotationMode Free / Yaw / Full - how much the rail turns your view
SnapTurnAngle 0 = smooth turning
CameraShake true = keep the game's camera shake
[Controls] GunHand Left / Right
ReloadByPointingDown arcade reload on/off
[Gun] GunModel, LaserSight, Reticle, laser colours
[HUD] Distance, Width, HeightOffset of the floating screen
[Assists] ThreatIndicators, LockOnSights, PathGuide, TargetHead
TROUBLESHOOTING
---------------
- Game runs normally on the monitor, no VR: start SteamVR first, and check BepInEx\LogOutput.log.
"OpenVR init failed" means SteamVR / the headset was not ready.
- Log says "needs Direct3D 11": add -force-d3d11 to the launch options (install step 2).
- Upside-down picture in the headset: toggle FlipEyeTextures in the config.
Upside-down menu screen: set HudFlip to On or Off.
- Low frame rate: lower RenderScale.
- When reporting a bug, please include BepInEx\LogOutput.log. Setting [Debug] SceneDiagnostics = true
(or pressing F7 in game) adds details about the current scene.

NOTE:
-------
1. This mod is 100% AI vibe coded but has been thoroughly tested by me. It is still in Alpha state and is WIP so expect bugs, if you encounter anything of the sort, please comment and tell me.
2. My debug pistol will show up in the main menu, don't worry it will be replaced by the game's own animated pistol prop when you start a mission
3. Maps have lots of empty gaps and spaces and look unfinished in its geometry, this is because the game was not built for VR or 360 degree camera. its is normal and I wont/can't fix it
4. When you start the game and enter the main menu, you will be in a default unity skybox and void, its intentional because the 2D menu is mostly a video player and not a 3D space
