Liber-Tunes: Freedom Edition - Updates

PC Liber-Tunes: Freedom Edition 1.1.0

Updates for Helldivers 2
WE ARE SO BACK!

FREEDOM EDITION WORKS WITHOUT LUA
Your music stays on board after the anti-cheat update.

The game update stopped all Lua mods for now (Bingus Shared Loader cannot run). Freedom Edition does not have to wait: version 1.1.0 adds the Freedom Edition Builder, which does the converting outside the game.

How to use it
1. Keep Liber-Tunes Freedom Edition imported and deployed in Arsenal.
2. Download Liber-Tunes-Freedom-Edition-Builder-1.1.0.zip (attached to this version) and unzip it anywhere.
3. Close the game. Put your mp3 files into Music\Liber-Tunes\ (the builder creates the folders on its first run).
4. Double-click Build Freedom Edition songs.bat and wait for "Done".
5. Start the game: your songs play.

Run it again whenever you add or remove songs. It only writes the mod's own files and never touches the running game. Random playlists and all folders work as usual. The volume sliders and the Jukebox need Lua in the game, so they come back when Bingus Shared Loader is updated. The game's own Music volume slider in the options still works for tweaking the overall music volume.

Problems? Post BYOM.log from %LOCALAPPDATA%\CowboyBingus\Helldivers2\LiberTunesBYOM\.

STAY FREE!

This update replaces the earlier 1.1.0 post from today: use these two files.
Superseded: this post and its Builder zip were uploaded by mistake. Use the newer 1.1.0 update above (Liber-Tunes-Freedom-Edition-1.1.0.zip + Liber-Tunes-Freedom-Edition-Builder-1.1.0.zip).

WE ARE SO BACK!

Freedom Edition Builder 1.1.0: no Lua needed. Helldivers 2 now runs Easy Anti-Cheat and Lua mods no longer load. The Builder runs on your PC before you play and turns your mp3s into a plain music archive mod for HD2 Arsenal: no Lua, nothing injected into the game.
  1. Download Liber-Tunes-Freedom-Edition-Builder-1.1.0.zip and extract it anywhere.
  2. Put your mp3 files into Music\Liber-Tunes\<Ship, Drop, Battle...> (the Builder creates the folders on its first run).
  3. Run "Build Freedom Edition.bat". It converts your songs and makes Liber-Tunes-Freedom-Edition-Songs.zip.
  4. Import that zip in HD2 Arsenal, load it after other music mods, Deploy and play.
Same folders, random playlists, loudness levelling and song cache as Freedom Edition. Volumes are set in settings.txt; the in-game sliders and the Jukebox need Lua. Disable the Lua Freedom Edition while you use the Builder's songs. The Lua version 1.0.1 is still attached for when Bingus Shared Loader works again.
1.0.1 hotfix
  • Fixed "BUILD FAILED: music_init: no dep in 9ba626afa44a3aa3.patch_N". Some other music mods ship their music banks without the small Wwise dep file next to them. Freedom Edition now writes the standard one itself and builds on top of those mods as usual.
  • After updating, the mod rebuilds your music once from its cache on the next start (no second conversion). Restart the game when ESC > MODS says "New songs ready".
