PC Objective Tracker 0.7.5

Updates for Helldivers 2
  • • Survey sites (Conduct Geological Survey) are now listed from the drop at their exact spot, with distance and arrow, so you don't have to search the big circle on the map. This covers the prospecting drill site and every seismic probe site. They still clear when the drill finishes or the probe has been used.
  • • LiDAR stations are now in the support group instead of main, since the game counts them as a side objective. With main=0 they stay on the list, and support=0 hides them. Communication uplinks and black box uploads, which use the same tower, stay in main.
  • • Every objective type was checked against the game files and the wiki, so the groups now match how the game uses them. Mutant larvae move to rewards, since they are always optional. These move to main, since they are always a mission's main objective: Platinum refineries, Spore Lungs, control towers, command bunkers, orbital cannons, cooling towers, assembly units, Monoliths, Overships, invasion ships and Exospires. Before, hostile=0 could hide the very structure a mission sends you to destroy.
  • • The objective listed as Harvester was the Exospire's power core, so it is now called Exospire core and uses the Exospire icon.
  • • New HD2 Arsenal icon.

  • • New setting names=0 for a smaller panel. It hides the objective names, and each row keeps only its icon, count, arrow and distance, so the panel is about half as wide. Objectives without an icon of their own show a diamond. Set it in ObjectiveTracker-settings.txt and press F10 twice.

  • • The tracker now keeps its settings, logs and crash journal in your Helldivers 2 folder, next to the data folder, instead of %LOCALAPPDATA%. Your settings are copied over on the first start. If the game folder can't be written, it keeps using %LOCALAPPDATA%.
  • • The Mobile Radar now leaves the list once someone in your squad has spent 5 seconds at it and everyone has moved away, instead of 20 seconds. Activating it is quick, so it often stayed listed after it was done.
  • • Fixed a bug nest that could stay on the list after every hole around it was destroyed.

  • • The utility group in the settings file is now three groups you can show or hide on their own: main (the mission's own objectives), support (side objectives that help in the fight, such as SEAF Artillery, SAM Sites and Defense Cannons) and rewards (side objectives that only give requisition or samples, such as Escape Pod Data and Specimen Cases). Set rewards=0 to keep the list to what matters in the fight.
  • • Your old setting carries over: utility=0 becomes main=0, support=0 and rewards=0 on the first start.

  • • Fixed gunship fabricators and bot outposts leaving the list the moment your squad lands. Until the drop the game shows every part of these buildings, and the tracker took the change at the landing for their destruction.
  • • Fixed orbital cannons leaving the list before the drop.
  • • Stalker Lairs now leave the list once their hole is destroyed, also when it was closed from a distance.
  • • Platinum refineries are only listed when they are a mission objective, not the ones that stand on most bot maps as scenery.
  • • Joining a mission already under way, most enemy structures your squad destroyed before you arrived are left off the list, and so is a drop-off whose uplink tower is already up.
  • • Fewer stutters: a new objective or a changed count no longer redraws every icon and arrow, map scans cost less, and reading the objectives no longer lands on the same frame as the end of a scan.
  • • If a game update removes something the tracker needs, the log now says what.

  • • Added the secondary extraction on the bot and Illuminate fronts. It leaves the list once your squad has been there.
  • • Added anti-air emplacements on the bot front. They leave the list once your squad has been there.
  • • Fixed the encrypted hard drive objective showing up three times (Research objective, Drop-off and SSSD). Only the drive is listed now, and the extra two no longer stay on the list after it is taken.
  • • Fusion batteries made by a Battery station are no longer listed one by one; the Battery station row already leads you there.
  • • The settings file now wins over HD2 Arsenal for bug nests, bot outposts and warp ships: outposts=0 hides bot outposts even when Show bot outposts is ticked. Left empty, HD2 Arsenal decides as before. Coming from 0.6.7, the 0 it wrote for everyone is emptied on the first start, so write 0 again after that to hide a ticked group.
  • • Fixed short stutters while the ship or a mission map is still loading: the tracker now saves its crash protection notes only for the first scan of each map, not every few seconds.
  • • Fixed SEAF SAM sites showing up at the extraction on Illuminate city maps and in Defend missions. Those launchers are only decoration; now only real SAM site objectives are listed.
  • • Fixed short stutters in the first minute after the drop: the tracker saved its crash protection notes to disk far too often while the game was still loading the map.
  • • With diagnostics=1 the log now also names any single game call that takes long, to help track down stutters.
  • • Fixed colours: the game's own colour grading turned bright panel colours into the same red, so warp ships, bug nests and bot outposts looked like detector towers. Every kind of objective now shows in a colour of its own, with bug nests, bot outposts and warp ships in orange.
  • • Fixed so it works with other loaders: when Objective Tracker is deployed after another loader, it starts that loader too, so both run.
  • • Stalker lairs are listed again: the tracker now finds the lair itself, so it shows up on the panel and leaves the list once it is gone or your squad has been there.
  • • Smoother frame rate: map scans are spread over more frames and the direction arrows are redrawn less often while you turn.
  • • With diagnostics=1 the log now notes every stutter and what the tracker did just before it, to help track down frame drops.
  • • Sharper icons: they are drawn at their full size again, like in 0.5.7, and the direction arrows keep their whole shape with smooth edges.
  • • Every kind of objective now has its own colour on each front, so enemy installations are no longer all the same red. The Stalker lair icon from 0.5.7 is back.
  • • Fixed structures such as detector towers sometimes clearing right after the drop while the map was still loading.
  • • On maps with many bug nests every nest is checked, so the last ones listed clear too.
  • • A valve between two sites always counts for the nearest one.
  • • Adjust mode (F6): F10 now saves the panel's place too, a panel moved against the right or bottom edge stays there when the list gets shorter, and moving it back from the edge starts at the first key press.
  • • Moving the panel no longer makes time spent at an objective count faster.
  • • If F6 is set as another key, it no longer also turns on adjust mode.
  • • Comments in the settings file are kept when the tracker updates a line.
  • • Fixed the panel sometimes showing NONE FOUND on the ship.
  • • Bot outposts with colony fabricators now clear when they are destroyed.
  • • Clearer log for bug reports: every cleared objective with its place, what was still listed when a mission ended, and slow frames with diagnostics on.
  • • Added Black Box Uploads. The tower for Upload Black Box Data no longer shows up as a LiDAR Station.
  • • Fixed Obtain Coordinates staying listed after they were done. They now clear once your squad has been at them and moved on.
