RefScan v0.1.0 is a diagnostic, not a gameplay mod. It reads the game's settings tables and writes them to disk so another mod can find a weapon by the round it fires, instead of a hardcoded entity id that a game update will move. It writes nothing to game memory.
Run it once, with Bingus Shared Loader and no other weapon-stat mods. Leave it enabled and it keeps walking memory for several minutes. Turn it off before you play.
What it dumps
Files land in
Join the bucket slot to the weapon record, then to the projectile. That is the entity hash for that round, read from the live build.

What it dumps
Files land in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Hd2ProjRecon\. On Proton that is the same folder inside the Helldivers 2 prefix.refscan_projectiles.txtrecords every projectile round, with its name, ballistics, and damage type.refscan_weapons.txtrecords every projectile-weapon record and which round it fires.refscan_pwbuckets.txtmaps each entity hash to the weapon record it points at.refscan_weapondata.txtrecords the player weapon-data records.refscan_ldld.txtlists every settings table the scan can see.refscan_raw_*.txtandrefscan_bin_*.binhold bounded copies of the other tables.
Join the bucket slot to the weapon record, then to the projectile. That is the entity hash for that round, read from the live build.
What it does not do
- It does not change stats, audio, models, or anything else you can see.
refscan_enemy.txtdoes not appear. Enemy weapon data is not its own table. Do not wait on that file.- It is not a mod to leave on. It scans, writes the files, rescans about every 45 seconds, and stops after 8 passes.
Requirements
- Helldivers 2
- Bingus Shared Loader, last in the load order
- One mission, or the ship if the weapon tables are already loaded
- No other weapon-stat mods enabled for that run, or their edits show up in the dump
