Vanilla Plus Megapack v8

A Mod for Helldivers 2
Vanilla Plus Megapack akl_mod_preview_image
Make sure you have the latest version of Bingus Shared Loader before downloading this mod.

All of the CowboyBingus Helldivers 2 gameplay mods in one install. The following mods are included and maintained in this pack:
  • Better Stratagem Bounce
  • Hellpod Steering Unlocked
  • Reinforcement Beacons Fixed
  • Shallow Water Diving
  • Consistent Vaulting
  • Sentry Aim Retention
  • Enemy Collision Synchronized
All of my mods are client-side only and do not mechanically change the way other players' games operate.

This mod can technically be safely installed without removing my other individual mods. However, I'd recommend removing or disabling them just to be safe, and placing this mod just above Bingus Shared Loader in the mod loader (second-to-last).

AI disclosure:
GPT-6 Astra was used for this project's research, implementation, debugging, and documentation.

While all of my mods will always remain free and open source, you can help support my work and stay up to date on development over on Patreon:

Alright Round 2 of Testing Results, I couldn't replicate the Double Secondary bug, but unfortunate news!

Test 1 - All Mods Active (No Mega) is still experiencing Severe Desyncs depending how chaotic the mission gets, Starts off normal, then it progressively gets laggier the more enemies killed, such as waiting for Hulks to Explode after killing them, or throwing grenades at Fabricators and don't react, attempting to interact to terminals, Gunships freeze in the air after getting killed then taking a whole minute to crash on the ground, Bot AA/Mortar/Bunker turrets Unexploded for the same mentioned duration, the Desync lag gets too severe.

Test 2 - Mega Pack same Symptom, except it probably escalates faster.

Test 3 - Collision OFF, Sentry ON, Desync symptom persisting without Mega Pack, all others active.

Test 4 - Sentry OFF, Collision ON, Same Problem, Desyncing.

~Conclusion, both the new mods are causing the Desync Symptoms. I'm doing one more test without the 2 new mods & Mega to confirm no Desyncs.

Test 5 - I'm still Desyncing without the 2 new mods & Mega and Deploying All Previous Mods before it. Interesting, I believe Shared Loader could be the culprit? Trying a Purged mods game to see a difference if it's a me issue.

~ EDIT:
Test 6 - No Desync in Vanilla State

~ I can try launching without shared loader to see if anything changes.

Hi Vhuz, can you give it a try with the new hotfix for the Enemy Collisions Synchronized mod? The update massively reduces overhead of the mod, so I'm hoping there's some improvement on your end as well.

Just to clarify: if we run other mods in Arsenal (fog remover, muzzle flash/smoke remover, etc), should the Shared Loader have the highest priority above all others, followed by either the Mega Pack or other Bingus mods, and then the rest of the mods?

Exactly. While most mods would technically work, there are some (e.g. the ones listed in the Loader page) that would break if it doesn't have the highest priority.

Final Test 7 - All Mods including Mega works, only if Shared Loader is OFF.

Shared Loader is the Broken Mod with Desync Issue.

Hey Vhuz, I hate to be the one to suggest this since I hate doing it myself, but I think there could be something genuinely wrong with your installation that may need a reinstall. None of my mods can function without the loader, so if they are, there's a deeper issue going on. I have several questions that will help me narrow down what's happening:

  1. What version of the mods are you using? Please include Shared Loader, each gameplay mod, the megapack, your mod manager and the load order.
  2. Do you have this problem with only the Shared Loader active and no other mods?
  3. Between your tests, did you purge and deploy your mods through Arsenal each time?
  4. Were you hosting or were you joining another player's session?
  5. If joining someone else, do you know if anyone else was experiencing these issues?
  6. During the delays, does your FPS drop or is movement smooth while the delays (enemies, destruction, terminals) happen?
  7. What makes it worsen or recover? Is it just building up with kills, mission time, or only certain enemies? Does returning to the fix resolve the issue or do you have to fully restart the game?
  8. With the Shared Loader disabled, which mods did you confirm were working? What effect were you seeing?
  9. You should have multiple logs in %LOCALAPPDATA% if you want to send those to me in a DM. They are "BingusSharedLoader.log", and if you had Collision 2.7 enabled, "EnemyCollisionSynchronized-Performance.log" and "CorpseCollisionRepair.log" all in that same folder.

I understand it's frustrating when stuff isn't working, so I appreciate you taking the time to test all of this.

Hello, may I ask if it affects the frame rate?

Ideally there should be little-to-no impact on the framerate. The enemy collision mod does have some performance impact though, which I'm continuing to smooth out. I released a hotfix yesterday that saw significant performance gains and hope to continue improving its performance.

Godlike. Wonder if in future you can make it configurable, so you can disable certain parts of the megapack (so you won't need to install all mods separately if you don't need just one)

I hear you both. It's definitely on my to-do list. I still have to come up with a good way to do this. It's coming soon, just don't have a firm date as of when yet.

Hey!

Okay-- I'll spare you from another Hefty Wall of words, so apparently my mega & prior single addon mods (collision and the latter) were outdated (?) This was during v9 shared loader, and the Desyncs were rampant.

Now, current version of V11 SL and V6 Mega are working as intended without issue! FPS wise, Ehhhhhh more or less the same, Uncertain!

~ Now then a personal future request from me is making Bastion Tanks Immune to Slow Debuff from Bug Spike Mines/Bug Bile Spit/ and Improved traction in slopes, the way Devs designed the Bastion is not full traction from treads. it's only the 2 center wheels that drive the whole vehicle, the rest do absolutely nothing, that's why it feels like it teeter-toters so much in hils like you're balancing on a ball point pen. Bastion deserves QoL driving upgrade in Grip Performance! We can't do anything about the treads, they're just visuals that devs should've made them actually have grip the entire track.

I swear it's a bug that Tanks Experience Slow Debuff from sources. Exosuits, FRVs Feel Nothing, so why is Bastion Slowing Down?!? >:C Angery Fayce!

Me gots more ideas in "Bug Fixes" theme in whom we could converse about soon enough, I hope <3

You'll be happy to hear then that I am currently working on vehicle physics (in addition to other projects), which includes the Bastion specifically.
