well done mate, i will release V1.5 soon which will make HUGE difference to patch sizes
i have managed to get this so far:
my tool click make ripkit
the tool then extracts the pkg file to original folder (same with ripped.pkg)
and i can make the patched files in right folder
what i am stuck with right now is using the command line for repacking pkg files using orbis-cmd.exe (whatever its called)
the reason im doing it this way is coz my patcher tool cant open the pkg files which is why the patch file is so big... when i extract the file what happens is it scans for changed files instead and then uses ONLY those files in the patch so process will be this:
unpack to original folder
apply changed files
repack the pkg with mods/changed files/language rips etc
sounds pretty simple but the coding is getting longer and longer and i cannot find anywhere the REPACK/PACK pkg file command for orbis.... any ideas? i have contacted the guy who created pkg manager but no reply

i got my fast laptop fixed today turns out was just a lose connection lol
gonna get all my tools setup on that soon so i can test this on big 20gb+ games which is where the main RipKit would be needed.
what im looking for now is modders/cheaters to use modded eboot.bin files or whatever is used for cheats now so this can be used for applying cheats directly to the game none of this you need a laptop to apply cheats that just crash the game... with little to no support when things dont work correctly.
this tool will need a name change really as it does a lot more than just ripkits...
ripkit (remove files not needed making smaller)
update/patcher (when applicable)
cheat patcher (if/when this can be done)
trademarking your releases (i will teach how to do this via PM as dont want public yet)
maybe more....

i will do mate im sooo close with this i want to get it finished... all the coding is done other than moving files after extract
so after the pkg is extracted i get 2 folders Image0 and sys_sc or whatever it is
i need to make my script move these all to the right folders etc and then its ready!!!!

the patch creator (devs) is done it works fine makes much smaller patch file
however the patch applier (end users) seems to have few bugs... fixing them now
i will sort this today.... ive also made it completely n00b proof now its this simple:
copy game pkg to my app dir
rename the game pkg to original.pkg
run my app
rename ripped.pkg to game name
copy to ps4
enjoy!

i am going to make v1.6 so that ANY user can make mods... provided they know what they doing lol hopefully this will make the modding scene move a bit quicker... ps4 scene is slooooow compared to the ps3 scene lol

right so some of you have voted you dont know how to use it... this tool is not an auto patching tool it does require devs/users to make patch files that are used with this app.
i have updated the first post with a step by step guide.... V1.6 will make it so ANYONE can modify games... please note that again this is a MANUAL process. my app will now (1.6) have a PAUSED section where you will be able to modify the package BEFORE it recompiles it and makes the patch for you to share with others. please also note that you will need to know what your doing when modifing the files or the game may not work... if you remove files make sure they are not linked to other things in the game... best thing to do is DUMMY the files (blank text file, blank 1 second videos etc) remove languages too this will reduce the file sizes (ripkit)
