Bingus Shared Loader v20

A Mod for Helldivers 2
Bingus Shared Loader akl_mod_preview_image
This mod is mandatory if you plan to use any of my mods.

Always place this mod last in the load order.

Starts any of my installed mods as well as the below supported third-party mods together. The loader has no gameplay effect by itself.

Supported mods created by me:
  • Better Stratagem Bounce
  • Hellpod Steering Unlocked
  • Reinforcement Beacons Fixed
  • Shallow Water Diving
  • Consistent Vaulting
  • Sentry Aim Retention
  • Controllable Hover Pack
  • Know Your Constellation
  • Enemy Collision Synchronized
  • Armory Preview Cache
  • Wide Angle Stratagems (Unreleased)
Supported mods created by third-party authors:
  • HUD Ballistic Trajectory Overlay
  • HUD Plus
  • Gore OFF (Requires patch from Nexus)
Each gameplay package owns its own Lua resource and is optional. A missing or failed mod does not prevent later modules from loading.

AI disclosure: GPT-6 Astra was used for this project's research, implementation, debugging, and documentation.

Third-party mods may report conflicts with the shared loader. This is normal and expected.
While all of my mods will always remain free and open source, you can help support my work and stay up to date on development over on Patreon:

I really don't get the hype for something like HellForge. Sure, there is some demand for extended custom content, but I find the most popular mods were about fixing the vanilla game, not joining some custom server. CGW was already very niche, and this won't be any different.

Because any and all hopes for having script mods back into the vanilla version of the game is now entirely gone and anyone who thinks they'll get that back is frankly delusional.

Arrowhead has made it clear should we attempt to continue script modding into the vanilla game, they will continue attempting to destroy it.

Hellforge is the only acceptable alternative we have for the time being, until Arrowhead and Bingus come to a mutual agreement on how they can handle this script modding situation more appropriately and professionally (which I doubt Arrowhead will ever do given their track record of both incompetence and malice)

Bingus is just doing the more ideal solution that would not attract more negative attention from Arrowhead who has already shown that they will destroy all modding should it mean they continue having their atrocious vision and design space.

It is better for the modding community to segregate into an offline version of the game than attempt to provoke Arrowhead into nuking their already miserably broken game further

And my point is that it's an alternative nobody wants. If I have to choose, I would either cope with vanilla bugs or take a hiatus from the game rather than play on a DOA custom server.
i'm afraid at the rate things are going the choice isn't ours to make.

Only time will tell whether I am wrong on this as Shodan's Editor is working on the base game but Bingus and Skye are exclusively working on Hellforge for the forseeable future.

I don't think you're wrong in spirit, it's really not that difficult to continuously break mods. Whether modders continue to be obstinate about making modding open and public is the question, there will always be ways to bypass whatever systems AH places so long as files exist locally to reverse engineer and tamper with and they can do that offline and with their friends rather than sharing the methods with everyone.

Hellforged isn't the answer, it's a small splinter of the player-base, with no progression, no matchmaking, no mod freedom (everyone has to have the same mods) and will always be behind the main game as everything AH adds to the game Hellforge devs will have to backport into their mod because they HAVE TO stay on the old version for mods to work.

Bingus is acting foolishly for thinking that AH will somehow support mods in the future, they've already played their hand and showed their true intentions. Communication with them will only result with them wasting his time and leading him on, the same thing they did to Ironsights.

Guess we'll have to rely on the Chinese modders, at least they have the balls to bypass EAC for software WE OWN.
