Ordnance — Helldivers 2 Mod Manager

Ordnance is a Helldivers 2 mod manager for the game after the October 2026 Easy Anti-Cheat update. It merges every enabled mod — stat-plan .dl_bin edits and regular mods alike — into one sealed swap with a single native boot script which supports Chef's, Rat's, and Boot Mod Loader mods. One deploy, everything enabled: no load-order guessing, no running a merger alongside a manager. Ordnance does it all.

Home: https://github.com/Cavadus/ordnance

Main features

  • One sealed swap — every enabled mod merges into a single, conflict-resolved .dl_bin set; when two mods edit the same field, the later one wins.
  • One boot script — a single native boot loader compatible with Chef's, Rat's, and Boot Mod Loader deployed last so it's the script the game runs.
  • Stat-plan edits in Rust — no Python/numpy runtime. Stat-plans are self-describing, so table layouts live author-side, not in the manager.
  • Import from your current mod manager — one-click import from HD2 Arsenal and Echelon, plus the older HD2 mod manager, Vortex, and your Downloads folder, with names, on/off state, and options intact.
  • Automatic update checking — checks every mod against its source: AyakaMods, GitHub, GameBanana, ModWorkshop, and Nexus Mods.
  • One-click downloading — updates from GitHub, GameBanana, and ModWorkshop download and install in place.
  • Automatic downloading (opt-in) — with automatic checks on, those direct updates download and install themselves, no per-mod click. Never touches Nexus Mods.
  • One-click installs from the browser — the free extension drops an Install with Ordnance button on Nexus Mods, AyakaMods, ModWorkshop, GameBanana, and GitHub, so a mod page hands the file straight to Ordnance — logged-in-only downloads included. It ships on the same GitHub release page as the app.
  • Lenient installs — hand-written manifest.json files (slug Guids, missing Guids) install instead of erroring out.
  • Loader conflict detection — flags a boot loader that would fight another mod.
  • Profiles and categories — profiles live in the sidebar with avatars; categories group your mods into a collapsible list.
  • Image previews and versions — thumbnails load (hidden .jpgs folders included), and every mod row shows its version.

Installation

  1. Download for your OS from the latest GitHub release: Windows installer or portable zip; Linux .deb, .rpm, AppImage, or tarball.
  2. Point Ordnance at your Helldivers 2 installation.
  3. Install your mods, enable them, and Deploy — one sealed swap, one boot script.
  4. Optional: load the browser extension (Chrome or Firefox, unpacked) for Install with Ordnance buttons on mod pages.

Requirements

  • Helldivers 2 (current version).
  • Windows 10/11, or Linux with WebKitGTK 4.1 for the binary builds.

Shout outs

Thanks to every mod author whose work Ordnance merges, and to the Democracy Defender Mod Manager project this manager grew out of. Ordnance is MIT-licensed, with attribution to the Apache-2.0 upstream projects it derives from.

Can it check for updates and download them for you?
It does check for updates but it still requires going to an actual mod page and hitting download (it does the rest from there). I am currently working on a feature for users to add their API keys and then it'll do everything right from the UI.

Interesting, I might migrate soonish, the 1 click DL feature is a good selling point

Will it port over my mods from Arsenal?

I appreciate the added features, but why fork DDMM instead of contributing to it? There's so many mod managers being made for this game, that it feels like un-necessary fragmentation & duplication of efforts :/

I just ran into a somewhat significant issue: your Chrome extension is using the same ID as DDMM's. This means that installing one replaces the other, as the browser sees them as being the same.

Sorry to spam, ran into another issue: it can't find my python install. I have python 3.14 installed and accessible from anywhere via terminal as `python`. `python3` however makes the MS store open and ask me to install it.

I'm getting so confused now.

Chief, Arsenal, Medic, , Ordinance, theres like 10 different mod manager things which one is compatible with which and which ones are obsolete?
