SHODAN Stat Editor v4.1.0

A Mod for Helldivers 2
SHODAN Stat Editor akl_mod_preview_image
Change the stats of weapons, throwables, stratagems, mechas, boosters, attachments and armor passives in Helldivers 2. The Enemy Editor changes every enemy, your SEAF allies and how they spawn, and keeps custom difficulties as presets. SHODAN Stat Editor Offline (SSEO) is a Windows program: pick a weapon, change its numbers, press Install into the game, and play. It writes your values into the game's own data files, so no mod loader is needed and the game does not have to run while you edit. Keep setups as presets: 5 per weapon, and up to 50 named ones for everything you have changed.

What you can change
  • Weapons: damage, durable damage, armor penetration, demolition/stagger/push force, projectiles per shot, velocity, blast radius, burning, gas and stun applied per hit, fire rate, magazine size and spare magazines (each magazine on its own), reload time, recoil, spread, sway, ergonomics, heat and heatsinks. Projectile swap: make a weapon fire another weapon's projectile. Suppressed and one-handed switches. Slot: list a primary among the secondaries, or a secondary among the primaries.
  • Throwables: count carried, throw distance, fuse time, explosion damage and radius, shrapnel.
  • Stratagems: cooldowns, uses, call-in codes (the arrows you enter) and call-in countdown, Eagle rearms, approach and speed, orbital and Eagle strike damage and radii, barrage salvos and shells, the Orbital Laser, Guard Dogs, sentries and emplacements, minefields, jump/hover/warp packs and backpack charges.
  • Mechas: cooldown, health, regeneration and armor of every body part, and their weapons stat for stat.
  • Attachments: optics, underbarrels, muzzles and ammunition types (ergonomics, recoil, spread and sway), and each optic's zoom levels, zeroing distances and follow speed.
  • Armor passives: every value they have, from damage resistances to reload speed and extra stims. Each armor's weight: light, medium or heavy.
  • Helldiver: health regeneration, climbing and sliding, drowning and floating, and the hellpod's descent.
  • Extra stratagems: have any stratagem bring another along with it.
  • Transmogrification: give an armor passive the effects of any other passives, as many as you like, with or without its own.
  • Boosters: Experimental Infusion, the hellpod boosters, Dead Sprint, Armed Resupply Pods and Surplus EAT Allocation.
Enemy Editor
Make your own difficulty. Click SHODAN Enemy Editor at the top left and the window turns red; SHODAN Stat Editor switches back. One Install puts the changes of both editors in the game.
  • Every enemy: health, armor, durable ratio, explosive damage taken and regeneration, and each body part's health and armor, including whether destroying it kills the enemy.
  • Behavior: movement speed, size, sight, hearing, how long it keeps tracking you, stagger resistance, and status resistances (stun, gas, fire, acid, electric).
  • Attacks and weapons: melee attacks, death explosions, and every enemy gun stat for stat like a weapon: damage, armor penetration, fire rate, magazine and spread.
  • Shields and jamming: shield capacity and recharge, Stratagem Jammer and AA Emplacement radii, Cognitive Disruptor scrambling, Leviathan flight height.
  • Whole factions at once: one row for all Terminids, Automatons, Illuminate or SEAF (health, armor, damage, speed and more), while enemies you tuned by hand keep their own values.
  • Spawning and patrols: reinforcement size and frequency (or none at all), the cap on enemies at once, patrol frequency and count, modifier patrols, outpost garrisons, Fabricator and bug hole output.
  • SEAF: every SEAF soldier kind like an enemy, and which weapons each kind carries.
  • Custom difficulties: save enemy setups as their own presets, separate from your weapon setups. Comes with Default, Horde, Glass Cannon and Elite; change them or make your own and share them.
Features
  • Type values directly or step them with the arrow keys; Del resets a stat to the game's value.
  • Create and share presets: save up to 5 presets per weapon or stratagem, and up to 50 named full presets holding every change you have made. Load, rename or overwrite them any time, and share a full preset with other players: copy its file into their StatEditor folder and they get your whole setup.
  • Search across every tab (Ctrl+F).
  • Quality-of-life switches in Settings: bring several vehicles of the same kind (exosuits, FRVs, tanks), better stratagem bounce (stratagem balls stick to more surfaces), foliage pass-through (rockets, launcher rounds and stratagem ordnance fly through trees and bushes) and a sniper crosshair in third person.
  • Works with other mods: SSEO keeps the changes other mods made to the same game files and adds yours on top. Install or apply the other mod first, then press Install in SSEO. Not thoroughly tested yet.
  • Updates itself: SSEO tells you when a new version is out and installs it with one click.
Install
  1. Download the latest SHODAN-Stat-Editor-Offline zip and unzip it anywhere (keep the files together).
  2. Close Helldivers 2 and start SHODAN Stat Editor Offline.exe. It finds the game through Steam; if it cannot, write your Helldivers 2 folder's path into %LOCALAPPDATA%\SHODAN\StatEditor\game folder.txt and start it again.
  3. Change values, press Install into the game, then start the game.
Restore the game's files puts the game's own files back; your values stay saved, and Install puts them in again. After a game update or Steam's "Verify integrity of game files" the game's own files are back: start SSEO and press Install again.

Windows SmartScreen or an antivirus may warn about the program the first time (it is not signed).

I'm stuck on the "finding stats" loading screen
anyone know how to fix this?
This is likely an issue with conflicting mods.
SSEO should work alongside mods that change the same game files (other stat or stratagem tools) without conflict, as long as they go in first. SSEO keeps their changes and adds yours on top. This is not thoroughly tested yet.
1. Install or apply the other mod.
2. Start SSEO and press Install.
3. To change or remove the other mod later, press Restore in SSEO first, change the other mod, then press Install in SSEO again.
Where both change the same stat, SSEO's value wins.

If issues persist, right click Helldivers 2 on your Steam Library > click Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. After it's done, reinstall your mods in required order.

Is there a Chinese version?
The app comes with Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Russian too. You can change the language in the Settings. More languages will be added.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm always looking into implementing all the reasonable improvements you guys request here; if it's ever not added, it's most likely because it is simply not possible with the current state of Helldivers 2. A lot of previously possible features are out of reach since the October 20th update.

I noticed there are a lot of requests and things are pretty messy, so I took the liberty of organizing the most recent comments/requests:

SHODAN Stat Editor Offline (SSEO): Community Feedback

1. Possible Bug Reports (newest → oldest)

  • Maxigun ammo capped at 1023 (new). Setting ammo above the default 1000 (the user wants 2000) drops it to 1023 in-game after the first shot. They ask if the cap can be prevented. (helloIamretardedkt, Oct 25, ~02:09)
  • Hellpod Steering & Drop options can’t be edited. Values can’t be changed on that tab. (MistahJustice, Oct 25, 00:29)
  • Records projectile lifetimes don’t match in-game values. Example given: R-36 Eruptor (1s) and Airburst Rocket Launcher (1.5s). The user also hopes the value can be made editable. (Han115, Oct 24, 22:32)
  • RE-824 Bearer of the Standard is missing from the editor. (NoobEpic, Oct 24, 20:34)
  • Enemy scaling is inconsistent.(heroguy679, Oct 24, 14:13)
    • Factory Striders are only scaled when spawned at outposts, not from drops or reinforcements, and the scaled hitbox stays even when the model looks normal.
    • Scaled Heavy Devastators have hitbox gaps where shots pass through. Factory Strider hitboxes scale correctly.
  • LAS-13 Trident can’t be edited (and its beam can’t be given to other weapons since the update). Fire rate and beams per pulse were editable in the previous editor, which allowed a custom laser shotgun. (glassbowl, Oct 24, 12:58; Neobie, Oct 24, 10:03)
  • Crash when saving files locally (v4). The app shows an error and closes. The user re-verified local files and will report back. (blapblap, Oct 24, 09:19)
  • “Unlock LAS-22 Spear” setting is documented but missing. The LAS-22 Shear page mentions it, but it isn’t in the settings. (feralfenrir, Oct 24, 05:33)
  • Linux (Lutris): Steam folder not detected. game folder.txt isn’t generated, so the user can’t point the editor to the game. They ask for some Linux support. (derpakiin, Oct 23, 21:36)
  • Game crash with too many armor passives. Passives are bundled by name (e.g., Engineering Kit adds two at once). Up to 7 total works, and more crashes the game when selecting the item. (MiniatureLegend, Oct 23, 18:18)

2. Feature Requests (newest → oldest)

Weapons & gear

  • Mech arms swap/customization (AREOPIORIRTYTO, Oct 24, 22:33; Dyhra, Oct 24, 11:46)
  • Hover Pack: trigger the action again to descend early. (Albieri007, Oct 24, 22:32)
  • Stratagem multi-selection: pick the same stratagem more than once. (Kiithnaras, Oct 24, 21:37)
  • Add missing armors to the weight categorization: O-44 Bonded Pilot, KDM-500 Outrider, CPG-48 Sapper. (MiniatureLegend, Oct 24, 16:45)
  • De-Escalator: no self-damage, or remove Arc damage to self entirely. Other mods did this but haven’t been updated since EAC. (kokujin999, Oct 24, 16:12)
  • Range option for weapons that lack it, such as flamethrowers. (Wukitten, Oct 24, 14:44)
  • Homing Stim Pistol option (onyxicarus, Oct 24, 14:34)
  • Basic melee damage (specifically demo force). (Flexiflo, Oct 24, 13:58)
  • Make the MS-11 missile silo guidance controller editable to remove its sway. (AXProcyon, Oct 24, 13:06)
  • Weapon noise level in weapon customization. (Ecthelion008, Oct 24, 10:50)
  • Firing modes: auto, single and burst. (TheCarObsession, Oct 24, 10:22)
  • Unlock unreleased or time-gated weapons (e.g., LAS-22 Shear, R-4 Hyena). (feralfenrir, Oct 24, 05:33)
  • Ragdoll/pushback strength when firing the Variable’s Volley, or apply that effect to other guns. (Flufferson, Oct 23, 19:18)
  • Increase scope zoom. 10x scopes are only 4x. (LTR, Oct 23, 17:05)
  • Move the M7S SMG to the secondary slot. (Yitsmar, Oct 23, 14:06)
  • “Stand-and-shoot” on/off toggle for the AMW-20 APEX. (Mechanic, Oct 23, 13:57)
  • Explosion swapper for grenades. (cult leader, Oct 23, 10:39)

Stratagems & effects

  • Shield generator turret customization (new). The mod currently has no modification option for it. (13732813720, Oct 25, ~01:53)
  • Smoke stratagems that damage only enemies (gas-like, as in “BYOG”), so teammates are protected from friendly fire. This would work by changing or adding a status effect on the orbital smoke barrier. (ILLU, Oct 24, 13:33 and Oct 23, 15:41)
  • Sentry lifetime (Kiithnaras, Oct 24, 01:34)
  • Anti-aircraft gun lifespan (13732813720, Oct 24, 08:16)
  • Smart sentries and dogs, plus a first-person camera. (ananke31, Oct 24, 09:14)
  • Name/label the untitled status effects, e.g., to find the armor-debuffing acid storm effect. (Wunwun, Oct 24, 05:28)

Armor, boosters & passives

  • Realistic Resistances–style effects(geoffreyhdt1, Oct 24, 15:04):
    • Arc armor is immune to EMS (and stun grenades, if possible).
    • Gas armor isn’t slowed by gas.
    • Fire armor takes longer to catch fire.
  • Booster stats. Example: more uses for EAT Surplus Allocation, with extra cooldown to balance it. (Zareaz, Oct 23, 17:57; geoffreyhdt1, Oct 23, 13:44)
  • Multiple passives on every armor at once, like Super Earth Armoury Forge’s earlier version. Note the 7-passive crash limit above. (MiniatureLegend, Oct 23, 17:25)

Enemies & missions

  • Cap on maximum enemy population to prevent crashes. (3130098183, Oct 24, 13:20)
  • Spawn rate adjustment for heavy and light units. The user says it’s fine to skip if too difficult. (KIROlim, Oct 24, 09:49)
  • Open buddy bunkers solo. (Flexiflo, Oct 24, 13:58)

Compatibility

  • In-game injection support with Bingus v21 (comment was in Spanish). (ghostf16, Oct 23, 19:18)

3. Questions About the Mod (newest → oldest)

  • EAC “violation” message after quitting the game. Is it something to worry about? (jj51590, Oct 24, 21:50)
  • Multiplayer visibility: if I enlarge a Hunter to Charger size, do other players see it or only me? (charlotte xd, Oct 24, 21:01)
  • Option meanings(dahaut, Oct 24, 13:14):
    • What does scope zeroing distance do besides change text?
    • What does the zoom level value represent? 10x scopes max at 4 while 4x scopes max at 3.5.
    • What are modifier patrol frequency/size and outpost garrison size?
  • Host edits: when I edit enemy stats as host, do other players get them too? The user wants tougher Hive Guards, Hulks and Tanks for friends without mods. (glassbowl, Oct 24, 12:36)
  • Resupply stims: can I increase stims from resupply boxes beyond 2? (BigamusMaximus, Oct 24, 12:02). A related community tip from talaatmaher (Oct 23, 13:55) says you can add the Med-Kit passive to armor and edit stim amount and duration in the armor passive editor tab.
  • game folder.txt format: should it contain the game root path with or without quotes? The user also finds the value scan very slow, possibly because of large SSDs. (UknPownXiJPisSB, Oct 24, 11:28)

I can help to answer regarding the MULTIPLAYER VISIBILITY:

The edited weapon stats will apply to everyone in your match who uses that weapon, not just you.
Because the SHODAN Stat Editor directly modifies the game’s local data files rather than running a real-time script memory injector, it alters the base definition of the items themselves.

Here is how it behaves during multiplayer lobbies:
  • Host-dependent mechanics: If you are hosting the match, your local data file parameters usually dictate the weapon properties, damage values, and enemy behaviors for the entire lobby.
  • Shared values: If another player picks up or spawns with a weapon you edited while your modified files are active, they will inadvertently shoot with your modified damage, ammo capacity, or recoil values.
In other words:
You can't pretend you are not cheating because everyone who joined your lobbies spawn with your edited stats

Is there any way to adjust the cleanup time for all enemy corpses? Having piles of bodies block paths is frustrating, and they also impact FPS.

I'm sorry if this has already been asked but do the armor passives stack or is it just the strongest/first applied? For example if I give an armor both unflinching and extra padding, would it add 75 extra armor or just the 50 from extra padding? I know the forge mod can stack them (if a bit inconsistently at times), but I was uncertain how it worked here.

Also how does one effect the sparks on the pyrotech grenade? Is that an option yet? Or are they all just mixed in with the explosive damage?
I think it adds the highest value, but it ignores adding a lower on top, if that makes sense. Try tweak with some values and see what happens. I usually use siege-ready as the base, and go from there with adding more that I really like. But of course not all armor passives are good.

if you are not the host I assume it'll be like that, but I can confirmed whenever I joined my friend's lobby which edited the stats, I'll also get the edited stats even though I didn't edit anything on my end, like I said it's a Host-dependent mechanics
