This is an open-source mod. The full source, including documentation, can be found in the listed Github repo.

This mod connects upward-facing surface contact to the game's native stratagem deployment and attachment interfaces. Bypasses the built-in invisible navigation map that Helldivers 2 uses to determine what a "valid" surface is. Vertical walls and undersides do not qualify.

This mod is fully client-side and will not affect the placement of your teammates' stratagems.

Install:
Close the game and extract the ZIP into the Helldivers 2 game folder (Steam → Manage → Browse local files), merging bin and data. Launch normally. No configuration or extra loader is needed.

The portable-v8 prerelease supports Windows x64, Steam build 24826606 / EXE 1.8.45317.0.

AI disclosure: GPT-6 Astra was used for this project's research, implementation, debugging, and documentation.

Narrowhead said realism is part of the core for the game an yet we can't land or throw stratagems on higher places but enemies can merge through walls and climb rocks. Lmao. Anyway, PEAK mod.

but this mods have some issiue with https://www.nexusmods.com/helldivers2/mods/15298 , it can't use in same time,i really like that amno hub displayo_O

Unfortunately I took a deeper look at this particular mod and I don't think the two can be made compatible without me redistributing their code or Arsenal implementing mod-merging capabilities. The issue is that both mods override the same boot script location, and there's no trivial way to arbitrarily load my own mod without leveraging an existing boot script location. This is, unfortunately, a limitation of the Stingray engine itself.

Perhaps eventually Arsenal can implement a shared loader system, as this would resolve the conflict issue entirely. But until then, the two mods will have to remain separate unless you merge them by hand (which isn't a simple task by any means).

When I do that is just gives me an option to replace the files or skip them. Can I just drag them in manually or use mod manager?

Good news, Arsenal is now supported! You don't have to worry about manually installing files anymore.

This MOD has some extra effects in certain situations. Today while using it against the Automatons, I ran into a jammer tower. I landed on a mountaintop — a spot where you normally can’t throw a stratagem ball. Combined with this MOD, if the ball you throw lands in a place that’s normally undeployable *and* that spot happens to be covered by an Automaton jammer, your stratagems deploy without going on cooldown. In other words, you can force-deploy inside the jammer’s range. Honestly this MOD is a bit insane, but I still really admire the work you put into it.

I think this situation should hopefully be addressed with the new update. Let me know if you're still running into it.

Does this affect teammates as well?

Nope! To be more specific: your stratagems will still work with the mod even with teammates. However, their own stratagem ball placement will not be affected by this mod.

Is it only Arsenel or HD2MM as well?
