Delete durable damage 0.1.2

A Mod for Helldivers 2
Delete durable damage akl_mod_preview_image
Durable damage is a silly mechanic. HP already accounts for fleshy areas. Armor accounts for hard to hit areas. Weak points / critical damage accounts for vital areas. Durable damage serves no purpose in game design and leads to some weapons feeling bad to use for no greater purpose. Suffering for a cause is noble. Suffering for no reason is a kink I don't share. If it works for you, don't use this mod. This makes the game feel consistent across targets and all weapons.

I've spent years trying to figure out how to fix the balance in this game. On private lobbies I've tested some wacky changes to every game and strategy. The game needs more tweaks than this mod offers. But just getting rid of the needless complexity that durable damage demands will make everything feel noticeably better. You're welcome.

I didn't directly use AI for this. I used the ModBuilder for HD2Runtime. Pretty sure Bingus Shared Loader and HD2Runtime were created by AI though.

Hi sorry for any confusion but, does this affect enemies dealing durable damage to sentries/mechs/frv/emplacement/tanks? helldivers dont really matter yes, but am curious if this might buff enemies as well as the durability of our stuff might be lost?
The mod only affects your weapons, not the enemy weapons.

Does the affect everyone in the match or just the person using the mod? And how does it interact with something like the Helldivers' Ammunition Mod by ChaosOfficerOnyx? As in, will your mod override the ammo mod or be compatible with it
It only affects the person using the mod. Order of mods dictates that happens. The mod checks for the default value before it makes changes. If a field has changed, it won't override the change.

If I don't need more support weapons and improved ergonomics and sway, so can I use version 0.1.0?

Would this affect any weapons that we already have modded? Like, if a mod increases a weapon's base damage, would this override it?

Stat mods affect you and no one else, at least from what I've been able to tell.

It won't override other mods. The mod (and any mod using HD2Runtime) looks for a specific value before making changes. So the first mod to make a change wins the change. So if you use HD2 Arsenal and load my mod after your other mod (e.g. put my mod higher on the mod list) then the other mod's changes will be applied. But, if the other mod doesn't affect all the settings mine does (e.g. modifying the hellpod, ergonomics, or sway) then you'll get a blend of both (e.g. the durable damage from the other mod and the hellpod, ergo, and sway from my mod).
