A Mod for Helldivers 2
Energy-Based and Special weaponry overhaul akl_mod_preview_image
"Hello hello, how are you doing? Today we have modern weapons that made not of plastic this time, but of a real steel! Thanks to R&D, you can try well-made weapons right now, just for 1999,99 Super Credits! Hurry up before offer is not over!" - That's how i imagine nerds at super earth are telling you to purchase better guns.

Anyway, here's new addition to previous mods! I tried carefully to not overlook some weapons, as some of them are already pretty good. I hope you like it, have fun!

Could this mod be configurable? Some of the changes sound cool but others I would like to leave out.

P.S. I just saw someone else ask about it, and saw your answer. You can disregard this question.

It seems like this mod needs toggles more than others, so i guess my next toggle mod is this one. Though may i know why you want toggles?

I may sound like a karen when I say this, but I think bolt bullet dominator is too strong. I also thought it'd be better this way but then someone pointed out it'll invalidate other AP4 options in loadouts. For example, why would I take AMR or Autocannon if a Bolter existed? Sure, more loadout variety but it outcompetes those other support options.

If you were to ask me how I'd improve Dominator? Well... a solid -1.0s off reload speed would do the trick, more spamming, less waiting. Damage was already doing okay!
The same goes for the following weapons featured in the mod:
- Scorcher. -0.75s faster reload duration
^ ^ ^
<both of these have no tactical reload animation, making it unbearably slow in combat>
v v v
- Hot Shot. -1.0s faster reload duration (Keeping Modded Values)
- Variable. -0.75s faster reload duration (keeping your changed values, the drag was killing its potential I agree!)
- Accelerator. Short Mag Reload speed like MA5C feedback to keep up with high pressure combat. This goes for all Collab Weapons!
Yeah... I sound like a broken record when it comes to reload speeds, just mentioning it anyway till tools are available to edit!

As for blitzer... It's different, I'd like the damage to be enough (if all arcs land on one target) to Splooch a Warrior at bare minimum. This is hard to test for. Splooching enemies is extremely important to the longterm performance of this gun because if theres corpses laying around, your arc gets cut off and be ineffective, so combat that, splooch removes them and keeps the play field clean for next shots. Allowing you to somewhat stand your ground! if it helps, an Arcthrower mod I helped test values for ended up with 445/105 at lowest possible splooching value on warriors, this made alphas survive at least 4-5 zaps (from the front) without being considered OP. here is the mod if interested in taking a gander!

Whoa how did I miss this one. Alright, I guess Jar-5 needs even some more "improvements"
Thank for feedback!
About reload speed, they're unchangable for most weapons in this game, that's why they are at basic values. And arc blitzer.. I'd personally like for this weapon to not explode warriors, as this doesn't feel right, but if the game requires to not have corpses around, I guess I gotta take action.

doesnt work for me sadly i dont know the problem
That's either my problem with the model, or it's yours, here's what you can try:
-Try disabling all other mods and enable only this one and try to test it.
-Try switching needed mods in different positions between each other (HD2Runtime meant to be placed lesser priority than Bingus loader)
-Try installing new mod versions (Bingus loader and HD2Runtime meant).
-Try purging mods and then loading them back.

It won't explode them unless all arcs (blitzler has like 4?) target 1 enemy, adding up to splooch value. Here's the good news, you don't have to inflate your damage anymore to achieve this, Runtime editor added Gib Value! Simply revert from 750 to 500 pre nerf.

Runtime editor is a runtime editor, but what if people don't want to edit values in the game themselves? Maybe it's editable in enemy section in modbuilder, but it's not the way for guns mod. So I dunno

Oh it works, I exported a patch with warrior gib value changes, allowing me to lower dps on arcthrower to be better balanced, and still splooch them on the 2nd zap while still alive.

Changing splooch value doesnt affet guns at all, they'd need to deal at least 500 dmg in a single instance to trigger splooch. Current game is 750 requirement, idk why devs made warriors so hard to splooch, it was a direct stealth nerf to arcthrower when it happened, suddenly it couldnt clean corpses anymore ans battlefield got too messy for arc currents to keep flowing freely.

This is pretty cool that you can do this.
